  1. Wine and some hard liquor in a single-line railroad store. Prices inflated by being in NY, but, you're in NY.

The varieties range from the simple to the slightly better, but this isn't going to be a shop carrying thousand-dollar bottles of wine; everything I saw here was $120 and less. Plenty of options for the normal person to grab and enjoy without breaking the bank.

Simple and efficient check out at the front.

  2. 9th Ave Wine has been around for a number of years, I'm surprised there isn't a single review of the place. For the most part this is a run of the mill wine and liquor store (no beer). They have all the standard liquors and a decent selection of wines categorized both by region and type. This isn't the kind of place you go for customer service, the guy behind the register watching telenovela's isn't going to help you pick out that special bottle for the right occassion. Not all the varieties of wine are labeled so you may have to ask for directions or take a minute to look around. Prices are decent, for example the Pinot Noir section had about 23 options ranging from $11-58. Don't go out of your way or have too many expectations coming here but know that they're here and that they're a solid option. It's also convienient that there's a deli next door to pick up beer if you need that too.
