Such a cute place! Came here to try their ice cream sandwiches and ice cream donuts. The owner was so sweet! She offered us samples, which was the full piece of donut! It's basically ice cream coated in chocolate in a donut shape. It's similar to the ice cream bites in the frozen section of the grocery freezer. How was it? Great if you never had it but I was expecting a real donut with ice cream in the middle. As for the ice cream flavors, I had wicked which was coffee and rocky road. The donut flavor was vanilla. You can request flavors a few days ahead of time! They also have a kids section and parties for kids.
They are aiming to accommodate all allergies.
The cutest little place! I went in mid-afternoon so the place was pretty empty.. but seeing all of the costumes and activities for children gave me the feels. I definitely would try this as a birthday party host for my imaginary daughter. Anyway… I came in for the goods, and those goods were two generous scoops of ice cream. Every other option in the area is a chain (Pinkberry, DQ, etc) and sometimes you just want a mom and pop shop. A La Mode not only offers (what seems to be) super fresh ice cream, but it's a nut free establishment that also offers dairy free options. The coffee flavored is YUM, although I strongly considered trying multiple flavors.
I discovered this place in close proximity to my office and just in time for summer. I will definitely be back, A La Mode!
A true hidden gem. Actually, it deserves more recognition!
Why? you ask
Well, what other ice cream place takes care of all your allergy concerns w.o sacraficing the taste?
What other place sells cute stain proof baby bibs that's perfect for dessert time?
What other ice cream place sells cute ice-cream pens and cute baby clothes?
What other place has heart-shaped dipped treats?
and what other place has spoons that changes from pink to blue cuz it's burrr so cold 😛
Best of all, A la Mode has really nice people behind the counter, who can answer all your ice cream questions. They also have to tell you the rule of No Ice Cream Monday cuz they need a day off too 😛
Was here over the weekend. My cousin had a 1 year old birthday party. They accommodated a group of maybe 50-60 people quite well ranging from babies/toddlers to the elderly. There were toys and related to keep them busy and the music wasn't super loud either. Staff here was very nice. They took jackets and went beyond what you would usually expect for a place like this.
Outside of the snacks and pizza, they had an ice cream cake and they had scoops. I personally had the rosewater. Excellent flavors. Had some little pieces of raspberry in there as well. I otherwise tried their blue sky (cotton candy with marshmallows, cute idea) from someone else which I liked despite not generally liking cotton candy ice cream. Chocolate/vanilla were good, not amazing. In terms of the rosewater, I'd give it a 4.3 if I was here alone and probably give it either a 4 or a 5 for the good service also.
Nice place with nice staff. Hope they do well.
