Southern Fried comfort Food and I'm loving it, Fried Fish with many varieties & Chicken, Steamed Fish & Vegetables, Creamy Buttered Grits with or with cheese all day & night, Mac~n~Cheese, sweet Yams, heavenly slices of buttery rich cake slices and exceptional customer service this place rocks my soul food loving tastebuds to the core.
My family kept telling me Tonya you want to Yelp some great fried seafood get yourself over to Taste of Seafood! My mother insists this place is it, late night we all decide let's stop to Taste of Seafood and pick up some fish.
Here we are placing orders for All Fried Catfish, grits with cheese, fried whiting sandwiches, fried whiting & Fries, fried fish with Mac n cheese & yams and finally Mac n cheese as a side order pretty big order for the family, guess what not one order was messed up everything was packed neatly with all the condiments, shout outs and a huge Thank you to Kiki and Anthony for being on point and quite personable even though we walked in minutes before closing!
That kind of service right there is outstanding in an of itself and worth mentioning. The family was right everything was perfectly fried on the outside and fluffy tender fish filet on the inside for both the Catfish & Whiting, the fries are done with a nice light coating of crispy seasoning, all sandwiches are served with the bread individually wrapped so you don't get home to a soggy sandwich due to the heat from the fried fish, Mac n cheese was tangy, cheesy and seasoned to perfection just the way soul food Mac n cheese should be, Yams are perfect and the Icing on the cake is well of course a heavenly slice of Pineapple coconut cake.
There is ample seating and space but I can see that the lines get ridiculous here during the day and as confirmed by my family; still Tasty seafood is all the Upper West Side of Harlem rage turning out perfectly fried & steamed seafood, chicken and I'm told Lobster Tails with excellent side Southern dishes and for the simple fact they have grits all day which if you don't know you need to know fish and grits go hand n hand together like white on rice in this
What else… cash, credit & debit all good here and they deliver!
Don't know if they have free Wi- Fi here but considering the food is finger licking good you won't have the urge for surfing the web or texting anyway.
