  1. I usually come here to meet with a friend over coffee/tea– their banana chocolate chip muffins hit the spot whenever I have a desserts craving, and their hot chocolate has just the right amount of sweetness– it's not too bland, yet not overwhelmingly sugary either, which is awesome. One caveat: I wouldn't ask for a free cup of water here– when I did, the water was all gray/murky looking, and I didn't want to drink it after the fogginess cleared up.

One worker behind the counter, Amanda, smiles and talks to me warmly whenever I walk in the door and order something.

Coming here during, or at the end of, business hours is interesting, because you're right in the middle of the action as people walk in and out of the Yard, which this coffee shop is a "pass through" point for. Overall, I think this is a unique place to grab coffee/tea. They have Dough doughnuts too, which is a huge plus.

On this wonderfully warm day, I stopped by the Adventure Cafe and enjoyed a cold brew coffee compliments of the Cups App. (Shameless Plug: Use Promo Code: 25pn5 for $10 credit). The coffee came in 16oz Clear plastic Solo Cup with icicle ice. The coffee was mellow, fruity, with a touch acid and astringency. It is kind of coffee that goes down smooth but sticks to your teeth. It was overall enjoyable.

The cafe had 5 two top tables, and a small bar counter both inside and out. There was no one sitting but there was plenty of foot traffic from the bicycle messenger business in the back.

  3. Cute little shop with very helpful baristas. Drinks seem to be really cool, Kaffe Tonic, Honey Lavender Latte, Coconut pour over. I've tried the Honey Lavender Latte and I really dig it. They use cafe grumpy beans.

I haven't sat at the cafe yet, mainly because of the heat, but looks like a good place to do work when it's a little cooler. Highly recommend.
