Came here tonight with my friend Anna H. as her +1 to celebrate Sierra B. as the new Queens Community Ambassador for Yelp. My friend Anna H and I shared their Irish Nachos…omg it was so yummy…it was waffle fries topped with cheese, sour cream, guacamole and jalapenos. They did provide us with popcorn, nachos and fries but I saw the Irish Nachos and knew I had to have them lol and I was glad I did. I also got a beer (#6) but I didn't like it too much.
I would definitely come back. Great time with great people.
Worst service.

Came here after watching some friends play competitive volleyball and we were disgusted by the bartenders attitude
She was incredibly impatient and even rolled her eyes at us when we asked her for more time on the menu.
She gave us exactly 20 seconds before coming back and asking again if we are ready. We told her not yet and she slammed her paper pad down and stormed away.
Will not be coming back for her sucky service. It's just too bad that their food is actually good.
I am not paying to be serviced by a rude woman.
Came here tonight with my friend Andrea G. as my +1 to celebrate Sierra B. as our new Queens Community Ambassador along with my fellow Yelp Elites. The upstairs was closed off to our Yelp event except for the outdoor deck as it was still open to their regular customers. Absolutely love the Yelp touch everywhere from the lounge seats to the tables towards the pool table. The staff brought out bowls of popcorn and nacho chips to dip in guacamole and tomato salsa. My friend Andrea G. and I shared their Irish Nachos…definitely a must try and it was so yummy…love the waffle fries topped with cheese, sour cream, guacamole (I am allergic to it but ate around it), jalapenos (very spicy) and etc.
Overall the owner or manager on duty along with his staff really took care of us and show us an amazing time at Alewife! Definitely would like to come by when it's hotter for the summer night on the outdoor deck =)
This place has a great ambiance. Friendly staff and a variety of drinks options is always a plus. We only had drinks and the truffle popcorn which was not just your ordinary season less kernels. These had a hint of garlic and salty butter which were finger licking good.
There were a couple of cider options. Downers east and Bad Ass. Both were great selections. Some People came for the food which I wish I had tried however we had just indulged in a great brunch and were stuffed.
This place has an upstairs with pool tables and darts to enjoy with friends or whoever is up for the challenge. Downstairs had plenty tvs. Each featured a different sports event. One was hockey, basketball, baseball, wild videos caught on camera.
The waitress was great it wasn't busy and she was very attractive and friendly. She answered drinks questions and respected that we said were not interested in the food menu. I'd return for a chill time if I'm in LIC area.
I have been to Alewife twice. The first time very briefly and the second time, during a Yelp Event.
The service at Alewife both times was consistently good. The happy hour has decent drinks. I ordered a special with a beer and a chicken & Bacon Sandwich with fries for about $14. It was a really good deal. The fries were really good. My sandwich was cold, which sucked, especially since it has sauce. However, I was really hungry, ate it anyway (correction, I ate the bacon mostly, and it was great), and enjoyed the beautiful facilities. When I paid my bill, I responded to "how was the sandwich?" with "it was cold but the bacon was great". I was offered a free drink (If I had complained about the sandwich, I am sure they would have done something, but I mentioned it only when asked, much later). They were genuinely concerned and seemed more than happy to fix the problem. So much so, that even with a cold sandwich, I give Alewife 4 stars.
Awesome spot for groups I felt like I was in a cabin. But please seat yourselves as the sign tells you. We got a spot in the back for a Friday night at 9pm it wasn't packed.
Our server was very nice and attended to us quickly. We ordered the ALEWIFE BURGER and I'm very pleased. The fries are garlic fries that come with ketchup. It will run you $14.00. They have a pool table upstairs and a photo booth downstairs if you're interested. Then there is an outside part upstairs. I feel like renovations were made I just haven't been here in a long time.
:::Bathroom Alert:;:
Disgusting bathroom this is why they lost a star. Holes in the wall just a straight up mess. I used the downstairs bathroom. There is trash in a lot of spots and on top of the trash bin like seriously? You couldn't get it in the trash were you that lazy?
The drinks were very strong my jack and coke tasted like coke and jack. Its not far from the 7 train which is pretty awesome. Very loud place but in a great way rock music played the whole 2 hours we were there.
The bartender gave us a free drinks because he forgot about two of our drinks. The bartender is fucking awesome. $5 for 3 drinks pretty awesome a old fashioned, jack & coke and a screwdriver. The screwdriver was very good and you taste the pulp in it.
Been here a few more times. The food has improved quite a bit and they have great beer. Place is also spacious with a nice private area on the 2nd floor for larger parties. The wings, fries, and burgers are good.
A solid place to go to in LIC.
Good neighborhood bar with reasonably priced drinks, a solid beer list, and great food options. Alewife has a good ambiance, friendly crowd, and has a nice space downstairs for events or grabbing drinks with friends and space upstairs as well. They were also experimenting with trivia night and look to be adding other regular events to their calendar.
Service at the bar was great. Table service could have been better as our orders were slow to arrive, forgotten several times, and the check was not correct.
