  1. Note to self: If a restaurant claims to make Thai, Chinese AND Japanese food, all under one roof: Run!

    ….But apparently:

In 'Eat 24 Review' (Did you ever hear of this?)  these guys got 5 stars!
-out of the possible 1000 total stars you could score, I guess??

They also got voted 'Best Restaurant to Order Food!'
-Did they leave out the word CRAPPY here?

What do I give the one star for? For the sweet girl that picked up the phone and patiently answered my questions, while I was making up my mind about what to get. And for delivering what you call 'food'.

-Tom Kha Kai: Ok soup, but the chicken must have been made out of rubber.
-Chicken Satay: Rubbery chicken strings, wrapped around BBQ sticks. My dog actually liked it. I didn't.
-Pad Thai: It was 'okay', with some overdried shrimps in there.
-Bubble Tea: It was supposed to be coconut flavored. The bubbles were flavorless, and I could barely taste the coconut in that white colored watery fluid they were in.

So: Don't judge a book by it's cover, or the menu by the things it claims to be on the front page.

    Bummer altogether.

  2. Formerly Ivy's sushi?  this place is in the same location as Ivy sushi–which was a better than average local sushi restaurant.  I don't know if they just changed the name or management but it does not seem to be as good.  Its possible that I've had a string of bad luck with recent delivery orders (wrong food!) and the explanation has been that the person taking the order over the phone is "new".    The food is still good – but the experience has been aggravating to say the least.  Will try them again but am running out of patience. . .

  3. Came here tonight with my friend for my birthday dinner. I wish we'd gone somewhere else but it was really cold out (too cold to walk further) and the Turkish place next door was a bit too pricey. It's sad because it all started off well, the host was very pleasant and courteous and there was not a soul besides us in the restaurant. The inner ambiance was nice with relaxing music playing. Then it all went downhill from there. Chicken teriyaki which stuck to the plate and lacked flavor and seemed almost processed. A not-too-bright waitress who didn't understand my very clear and pronounced request to take my meal away once I was finished and who was just generally awkward. I don't know if I want to imagine what the sushi is like. A another Yelper has remarked, yes, be wary of general "Asian" restaurants that boast Japanese, Thai, etc cuisines.
