I've been to Andrew's a few times already and I do enjoy going here but I do have some weird pet peeves here though.
His food is always delicious. My go to is the falafel wrap, the sauce is magical. My SO gets the guaco-pollo sandwich/wrap and he loves it. I've had their shrimp wrap and butternut soup in the past, delicious as well. The juices are pretty fresh and delicious as well, I've gotten the spinach, kale and pineapple juice before.
On to my pet peeves…
1. The wait. We can get there and will wait 10 mins to be given a menu because his sons are the ones serving us and they sit in the corner on their laptops playing video games. And then we wait after the meal for the check for a while too. Please let your children be children and maybe hire a person for the front of the house.
2. We never get served water with our meal. So we usually purchase a bottled drink from the fridge or bring our own, which is kind of crappy.
I will come back here again for the food but maybe to go next time.
If its healthy food and tasty I will always be there. I've had the wraps, the soups and the sandwiches are huge and just great (especially the shrimp and alvocado) but I suggest no cheese. Try the mushroom coffee – I instantly felt healthier! Andrew is a gentle soul and he worked with Bill Clinton and who doesn't love that guy?!
This food was absolutely fantastic. Incredibly delicious and nourishing, healthy … perfect texture. I had the eggplant sandwich and the butternut squash soup. Both were superb.
Also, me personally, I LOVED that it was just Andrew there seating you, cooking your food, bringing your check. It's a tiny little place and I know its popularity probably makes it that at times he isn't able to keep up quickly. But for me it is completely worth it to have a meal made from the heart by a real person who clearly has a talent for clean eating.
This place was absolutely wonderful. I hope to come back again the next time I travel through New Jersey.
