My kids have been asking me to get them ices from the truck parked on Park. We pass it when it's there on the way home from the school bus.
They loved it, said it reminded them of Philly. OK.
For me, I was happy that the credit card machine worked. And there was no line.
For the life of me I don't understand how a truck that sells THEIR rainbow ice can get below 5 stars. It literally took me back to the kind I had as a kid in Bensonhurst. I learned that not all Rainbow ices are the same once I tried Andy's.
If you are lucky enough to find the truck, BUY SOME ICES!! They are great!!!
After marching as a NYC CERT Team member with NYC Emergency Management in the Disability Pride Parade, to show support for all folks with disabilities today (Sun. July 10, 2016), I enjoyed ANDY's Italian Ices so much that I bought a second cup. VERY REFRESHING, NOT HEAVY, IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I DESIRED.
The truck was parked on a side street where a few other food trucks were parked; it was right off the parade route.
I first had a $4 cup with a scoop of Pink Lemonade & a scoop of Cappucino Chunk. Both were nice n cold & refreshing. Rested & deleted some photos from phone while enjoying my ices. Ready to photo the truck & signs.
Seeing all the great flavors available, I tried a $5 cup & enjoyed Pomegranate scoop, Nutella scoop, & Michigan Red Raspberry scoop. Sat in Madison Square Park, enjoyed these great flavor selections, & chatted with some Australian tourists who allowed me to share their table in the park.
WHY ARE THESE ICES SO GREAT? There is NO JUNK IN THE INGREDIENTS!! These ices remind me of the great ices from my childhood. These are even better!!!!
Highly recommend!! AND, YOU CAN HIRE THE TRUCK FOR YOUR CORPORATE EVENTS!!!! How COOL—pun intended–is that?!
If the truck is in Manhattan for a corporate event, they can ask people for their work ID, no Work ID , no ices.
Think outside the box—having a great reception–wedding, christening, bar/bat mitzvah? Parking lot nearby? Rent the truck!!
So cool!! I would!!!
