The one star average is completely off and unfair.
Tonight I ordered a poached lobster and it was pretty good. It came out pretty quickly and was very big. It was tasty.
Next time I would like to get that special lobster eating utensil because I made a mess trying to use my hands. Also, there wasn't as much meat as it looked like there would be.
Average place- not bad, but not terrible. Definitely a good place to grab your last NY bagel! The bagels aren't rubbery. They offer breakfast from 5am-11am. Everything ranged between 9-16 bucks on the breakfast menu. Side breakfast items were 5 dollars each. (Bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, etc)
I got a toasted sesame bagel ($2.50). with a side of scallion cream cheese ($2.00.) I also ordered a white tea rose melange ($3.50)
You order on the iPad and swipe your card directly at the table. You have the option to change the tip percentage on the iPad. The service is relatively quick, but since they don't take your order personally and the receipt is emailed to you– it's a little understandable that they forgot to give me my tea. After 10 minutes of getting my bagel, I reminded them. The lady was apologetic and it came 2 minutes later.
Overall, not too shabby. The only con is that I need to go buy gum now… I have onion breath now. Hehe.
Terribly expensive. But what do you expect when you are eating at an airport? Tell me about an airport that has affordable food–I need to fly into that one and witness it. Anyways, stopped by here early in the morning craving a decent breakfast. I already knew that I would be spending a ridiculous amount of money for a mediocre breakfast, but I was hungry. I ordered poached eggs with a side of potatoes and bacon as well as a cappuccino. All together the total was around $20. There was absolutely NOTHING special about this entrée at all. My husband ordered eggs scrambled, potatoes and bacon as well and a cup of orange juice. It is completely ridiculous they charged nearly $5 (I can't remember the exact price but I believe it was close to that). It was a very small glass of OJ. In total, next time we will try our hardest to eat prior to flying. Unfortunately with time constraints, we were unable to do so. However, on the plus side, while I was settling in my seat and getting my son adjusted the gentleman greeted me and explained how things work as far as the IPADs go (yes you use an IPAD to order your food). He was very nice and courteous, so that is why I am giving them another star for that. Overall: I will try to eat before arriving at the airport.
Sole meunière is one of my favorite things! And although that is not what the called it at Anglers, that is essentially what it was, pan sautéed sole with a simple lemon sauce. Very good, especially for an airport restaurant. Being one that is in airports just about every week, I appreciate a decent meal!
Had about 1 hour to waste before our flight took off and we were starving. Since there's little to no food options by our gate we walked over to Gate C24 and found an array of at least 5 different restaurants. They had sit down tables available and a take out option as well. We decided to go with Anglers lobster roll. At first, I was a bit hesitant (like who gets a lobster roll at the airport) but there were no other appealing options. The purchasing process was a bit confusing. We placed our order on the tablet at the register, received a printed receipt and waited. Once our order was called, I proceeded to give him the receipt. He informed me he needed the paid receipt, I wasn't aware we had to pay before picking up the order. We headed over to the cashier, paid and walked back over to pick up our food. When we asked for ketchup, we were told to go back over and get it from the cashier. It was just alot of confusion and unnecessary back and forth; They should have signs posted that inform people what the procedure is.
In terms of the lobster roll, it was actually decent. The bread was whack but I enjoyed the lobster filling. The mayo was light and the sprinkles of dill were a nice touch.

Still, not a bad meal!
