  1. 5 stars for the pulled bacon sandwich! I wouldn't even had known about The Wayland's daytime sandwich shop Animals if not for an article on thrillist. When I read about the pulled bacon sandwich I had to have it. So when I was nearby for work I dropped by for lunch. I had to take it to go but they packed it well and includes the side fixings of pickles, jalapeños, and animal crackers. The sandwich itself is to die for! All the components of it, the hearty bread, the smoky pork, the refried beans and the greens dressed in avocado and mayo make for a very satisfying and delightful sandwich.  I definitely want to try their other sandwiches.

Edit: I've since tried other sandwiches and they are all terrific!

  2. I went yesterday and had the vegan cauliflower sandwich. I live for a good sandwich, and this one did not disappoint. It was served on some sort of delicious ciabatta-style bread that was both crunchy and chewy. The cauliflower was delicious and perfectly roasted, and the cucumber and mint gave it a sort of banh-mi flavor which was interesting. The server was really nice, and the atmosphere was really pleasant. I will absolutely go back here!
