  1. After many years of eating here -including catering summer parties- and suffering the wait for great food last week was last straw.  Don't know what happened to the muscle bound guy but bring him back. People thought he was rude?  Well he has a working brain.

Went in last week to place an order.  Three people ringing up no one else waiting. Takes two guys to ring 3 people out with 1 cash register.

3 people walk in behind me.  One of these guys at register asks them If they need help- uh hello been standing here for 10 minutes.  These guys have never been here before. I was just there a month or so ago   These two are new. I cut a little slack.

Fine. After you take all their orders you finally take mine. A meatball parm and a mortadella and cheese. Response – not sure we make that.  What?  Huh?  I don't think we can put mortadella and cheese on the meatball parm.  Are you f'ing kidding.

Had to explain myself twice before I finally just walked out. Complete bullshit. Won't be back.

  2. The mozz here is fabulous!! It has the right amount of salt and the perfect texture. I usually don't like cheese plain but I can easily eat a chunk of this mozzarella by itself.

Quaint, true italian deli. Several italian products and homemade meals. The staff is great, always friendly and very cordial.

I get roast beef and mozz on italian bread. The roast beef is seasonsed on the outside and that adds a nice touch to the sandwich. If you're coming here, you won't leave dissatisfied!

Note: there are a few tables to sit down and eat for lunch!

  3. Growing up in Bklyn, places like this lined the street, now they are considered "specialty stores", there really isn't much to say with the exception of i haven't had anything bad from Annabella's. I've been there about 4 times, usually when i'm in the mood for a sammich. One time i was in there and they were offering customers slices from a roast pork w/ gravy sandwich they made. The service is always good, food always good, no complaints on my end!

  4. I used to love this place.  But over the past two years they always screw up.  I just got a salad and wrap.  The wrap was stale and my salad had no dressing with it at all, even after I asked for extra dressing on the side.   I stop in once every few months to see if its changed and it just hasn't.  They used to have the best sandwiches, and everything was amazing.  But something goes wrong every time.  People need to stop screwing around and talking and pay attention to what they are making and actually listen to their customers.  I think I'm finally done with them.

Ohh and their Mozz is def not the best in New Jersey

  5. Do not, I repeat, do not place an order for pick-up at this place. They will either lose your order, or they will make it while you wait (hence the call-ahead being pointless). My coworkers and I would call anywhere from 30-40 minutes ahead of time, only to get there and learn that our order had not be filled. We would wind up having to wait on line while our sandwiches were being made. The worst part is that they're never apologetic about it.

I know that the sarcasm is their gig in there, but come on dude, I need my sandwiches so that I can get back to my meetings.

And I agree with other other reviewer on here about the bread being of a rock-like consistency. I can appreciate a "crusty' bread, however, I should not have lacerations on my gums and tongue following eating it.

We used to like their sandwiches, but the experiences of late have totally turned us off.
