  1. I LIKE SANDWICHES! THEY HAVE FRESH PASTA!

But I'm not sure what the rest of this store is about. The "grocery" selection runs the gamut from expired to confusing, and their chips-display is random at best and weird and empty at worst.

Also, the coffee is crazy cheap and won't kill you, which means a lot to me on my trek to the G train. Contrary to several of the other reviewers, I've never had a problem with surliness, and I'm clearly a hipster douchebag (though I've been coming here for 5 years)(so I have that going for me)(which is nice), so… I don't know what to say about that.

The one thing that keeps me coming here is that they don't randomly decide to change the prices and fuck you just because they can. Hi, 359 Deli (yelp.com/biz/359-deli-an…), I'M TALKING TO YOU.

I also enjoy the parade of firemen who always come in for lunch, in uniform. Maaaaaaagic.

  2. I'm so into this place.  I love the variety of sandwhiches they offer, and I have to disagree with other reviewers and say they don't over stuff their sandwhiches at all!  They give you a fair amount, and it's perfect.  They don't have a ton of stuff if you're looking for a bodega go somewhere else, but they do carry a wide array of beverages, chips, fresh cheeses, pastas etc.

Get one of their "lunch specials" heros and you will not be disappointed, every time I go in there it's actually really hard to decide because they all sound so good, or you can look at their fresh selections and build your own.  The only negative is it's about $9 for a hero, which is fine, but I do wish it was more like $7, or that it came with some kind of little side.

We ordered the antipasti the one night and I don't really recommend unless you love grease filled fatty foods- cheese and pepperoni, no judgement if you do, and in that case you'll love it.  It was just a little too heavy for me.

  3. Fresh mozzarella is a weakness of mine. Really good fresh mozzarella could validly be considered an addiction.

When we wandered into this shop I was intrigued by the layout. There is a wide variety of beverages on the left with coconut water, a bunch of sodas, iced tea, whatever you're itching for.

Once you're past the beverages you can take a look at the menu. Sure, there is a paper menu. But what fun is that? I think you'll agree that ordering off the wall is way cooler. All of the sandwiches are painted on the wall with prices. I went for the Skinny Minnie ($7). This is a solid investment in your life's happiness.

You have to wait until your sandwich is finished before you can pay. I like to think that it's because they know you want want to leave without that sandwich. They don't feel the need to trap you there since you've already paid. You'll wait.

And when you do finally get the sandwich, it'll be a little slice of mozzarella heaven mixed with red peppers and a fresh pesto. Does anyone have a napkin? I think I'm drooling a little bit….

  4. Really awesome sandwich shop I used to order from when I worked in Williamsburg. They deliver quick and also the food is always hot. Big portion and tons of delicious ingredients stuffed into the panini's and sandwiches.

Also recently ordered a breakfast sandwich here and it was nonetheless delicious! Great service and friendly neighborhood spot.

  5. Best delivery in the 'Burg. Granted it takes around 40 minutes but the food is just amazing. I played it safe and ordered the meatball sub. Wow. The bread is so soft and fresh, the meatballs large and full of flavor and the fresh MOZZ that was on this sandwich was out of this world. The mozz on the sandwich deserves 5 stars alone. I could only imagine how spectacular it would taste if I made a caprese salad with it!

I also ordered cookies and a nutella milkshake as well because I have a sweet tooth that needed to be satiated. The cookies sucked – weren't made in house but somewhere on Long Island. They were dry and burnt tasting 🙁 The nutella milkshake is phenomenal though. Probably the best milkshake I've ever had in my life. I deducted one star for no straws!! I guess they forgot. Will order again.

  6. We love this panini shop. We have ordered two times, heroes, it takes awhile to read the menu. Incredible sandwiches: hands down my favorite new discovery in the neighborhood.

  7. Before my flight out of NYC, I decided to stop by this neighborhood deli to pick up a sandwich so I could have a nice meal before my boarding time instead of the meager choices they have at Laguardia airport.

I ordered a sandwich that my sister highly recommended the Healthilicious which had turkey, Swiss, arugula, pesto, avocado, balsamic on 7-grain. It was a great sandwich and for $8 it was a very generous portion.

I'd return to try their hot pressed sandwiches next time.

No substitutions in their sandwiches – as clearly stated on the board.

    Service was speedy and average.

There's one counter to place your order and pick up your sandwich. The other counter near the front of the store to pay.

    They deliver.

  8. Never been here in person, only ordered delivery. Delivery is stupid fast. I live a solid mile away and it is always here in 15-20 minutes piping hot.

The food is a little pricey but you pay for what you get. Their sandwiches are huge, made of fresh and tasty ingredients. The NYPD, the Y U MAD hero and their namesake's Panini are all amazing. And did I say huge? A half is totally enough for lunch.

I will keep coming back. Solid, solid food and yet to be let down.
