  1. Appetizzio's it a small neighborhood Italian shop. I always had in back of my mind to come here but there was never any parking in front so I just kelp on driving by.  But today I decided to come anyway and I parked the car a block and a half away and I'm glad I did.

The store is part of the next door to an Italian Restaurant and is small and has less products than I imagined from Yelp photos,   But of what they do have they are mostly all imported Italian items from pasta, sauces, Amaretti cookies, Sicillia hard candies, Panettone cakes, and high quality cold cuts.

The staff super friendly and would make to order hot and cold sandwiches and small pasta plates. I would come back again anytime I want one of the hard to fine Italian items they do carry.  Only reason they don't get 4 stars is taht they don't have enough items in the store and lack of parking.

  2. So I said I would update my review based on more than a bite of my sister's sandwich so here it goes:

I brought my mom here and the first words to come out of her mouth were "OMG Grandpa would have really enjoyed this!" This makes Appetizzios an instant 5 stars in my book. We were here for a late lunch so there wasn't enough Italian bread for the 3 sandwiches we were getting, but this led me to the great discovery of the Whole Wheat Italian Bread. Woohoo! Really good, I'll probably request it every time. I love it here and the staff is really awesome – big charmers. Best Italian place I've been to since I've moved to Lyndhurst and I will def. be back for more. You feel like family in there. The sandwiches are HUGE, so I can never finish them, and I've never been so excited to eat a leftover soggy balsamicy sundried tomato, mozzarella, & basil sandwich in my life!! It was delicioussss! My mom let me have her leftover half yesterday, which I enjoyed last night with a glass of red wine. I am pretty sure I had Appetizzios for 5 different meals this week. haha Seriously, that good.

  3. The store is smaller than some of the Yelp reviews suggest, but expect great sandwiches with terrific deli meats and cheeses cut to order.

The bread needs its own sentence.  The sandwiches are taken to another level with the great, crusty Italian bread.

Homemade pastas, meatballs and other specialty items are available for take home.

The store has your basic Italian grocery items including canned tomatoes, dry pastas, biscotti, grissini and Italian candies.

FYI, there are no tables and chairs, so we're talking take-out.

The staff is friendly and helpful.  I got a free amaretto cookie today at checkout!  Thanks!

  4. Huuuuge portions. Friendly staff and awesome subs/sandwiches. For those who love pasta, they have platter options as well and cook the pasta fresh, versus having it laying out on a hot plate. Not a lot (if any seating) indoors – just a couple of chairs outside the entrance on a busy street. Best to take out. I would definitely come back again!
