To be honest, I never was a fan of Applebee's however my choices were limited. I must say, this location offers a "ounce" of hope I had in the franchise! I went on a weekday late afternoon. The place is huge and offers outdoor as well as various indoor seating arrangements (including a full wrapped bar). I went for the 2 for $26 entrée plus shared appetizer. Of course for such a deal, the portions were OK (not too large). The appetizer took forever before my near death (of hunger)! Our server was pleasant and helpful so it kinda made up for it. Overall it was a cool lunch. The food was better than what I had in mind.
I am not an Applebee's fan but i have enjoyed coming to this one the most. Its huge, the hightop tables are nice, also the outdoor seating is a crowd pleaser. The one thing that i enjoy the most is Happy hour because everything on that menu is half off. They improved the menu recently adding wood grilled items. The buffalo bites are salty!!!
Its a great addition to Gateway mall if you are just looking for some place to hang out and have a few laughs.
This location is only a few years old, so everything is pretty new. They have outdoor seating which is really nice on a good day.
I must say however, the service here is pretty bad… I waited over a half hour for my drink, after waiting 20 minutes for the waitress to greet us.
I gave it two stars as the food was OK and the manager seemed to have some customer service skills. She apologize and took off the drink.
To make it worse, the food then took long to come out as well. I was with my 15 month old daughter, and thank goodness she is a wonderful baby or this really could have ended badly.
They are located in a shopping center, so plenty of parking (as well as plenty of other eating options, I'm just saying 😉 ).
As for now, I would not recommend this location because of the terrible service I received.

Not a pleasant dining experience at this Applebee's but I will be fair and give them 3 stars given previous experiences here.

My food came out at least 20 mins after the rest of my parties.
When it did come it was undercooked.
Empty ketchup bottles
After knowing my food was late the server did not return immediately to see how things were going.
I have been here on another occasion and it was very crowded but my girlfriends and I were able to score seats at the bar. The drinks are weak but this is not your typical bar so my expectation was already low. The kitchen service needs improvement and the staff needs to pay more attention to detail.
It is still a welcomed addition to the neighborhood as places to eat in the area are limited and it allows you to have a place to enjoy the company of your friends or family at a neighborhood eatery.
Minor improvements to be made and they should be fine.
I have never had cold fries before that had no taste . I was amazed at how disgusting my meal was here . We did the 2 for 20 and I want my money back. The waiter had no enthusiasm about the food and the general entry wasn't any better . The female at the front wasn't even happy to seat us . I guess I understand all the low ratings now . I don't usually do chain food and I remember now … Why.
I love applebees but my visit here left much to be desired. The service was really slow almost like none of the staff wanted to work that day and that was urprising because I went about 1 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and it wasnt even that busy. My waitress was always dissappearing and the food didnt seem fresh. i would definitely go back to applebees but not at this location.
I wish I had reviewed my first visit. That one was great.
The server Analis was really attentive, our food was really good and the entire experience flowed. My mom and I had the lunch specials, both shrimp pasta and onion soup. We had the spinach dip. The soup was really oily but tasted great. We walked out feeling like things couldn't be better. Probably because the greeters are great!
Our second visit, our party was six. We were greeted with the same enthusiasm and seated immediately. We ordered the spinach dip, pretzel appetizer, two lunch combos, wedge salad, a margarita and white sangria.
The dip was half the portion we had a week before!? the margarita wasn't drinkable. The onion soup had been burnt. The other items were ok but the kitchen definitely had some major fails. Our server wasn't as attentive, but she was prompt when we asked for things.
Overall I think they have some growing pains to experience BUT I wish I didn't have to pay for them. Maybe it'll continue to get better? send me an email when it does.
My bf and I went in for their late happy hour after shopping at the Gateway shopping center. The host warmly greeted us and we opted to self-seat at a hightop in the bar area.
Our server Nyasia greeted us promptly with a smile and offered to get our drinks started.
We ordered a couple appetizers and 2 mucho long islands $6 (made perfectly)
Drinks came and the food quickly followed. Everything was great and so was the price.
Nyasia checked on us frequently and was awesome! It's seldom I experience great customer service anymore.
We got the check and our payment was processed quickly.
I'd recommend this place for late happy hour, prices were wonderful and the potions were hearty.
