I've been going to this Applebee's for years and I was never disappointed by anything. I also usually go after 10 for half apps obvi. I always get the hot boneless wings or the chicken quesadilla cause they both hit the spot! It's convenient bring located right next to the theater. Post movie munchies! They also have outdoor seating which I like. Sometimes their tables aren't fully cleaned but hey,you can't expect that with underpaid waiters!
Our daughter wanted to come here for her 7th birthday so we decided to have dinner. We've been to this Applebee's location before and was never disappointed but tonight, everything went wrong.
First, we sat with our menus for what appears to be 10 long minutes before we were greeted and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We asked for ice tea, sprite, 2 kids lemonade. Then, an additional 5 minutes later, the drinks came out. We ordered chicken tacos and boneless buffalo wings as appetizers when the order came out, they forgot the wings. I had the grilled salmon with vegetables. It was okay but the portions were small. My husband had fiesta lime chicken with very dry rice that looks under cooked. My kids ordered the kids meal of hamburgers and Mac-n-cheese with very bland garlic mashed potatoes (yes, I took a sample).
No one came to see if everything is okay. I mentioned to the waiter early on about my daughters' bday so to my surprise, he came and surprised her with a small sundae. We decided to order the apple chimi cheesecake. I literally kicked myself afterwards because the wait for it took another 10 minutes.
Overall, it was very slow service. Manager was no where in sight. No one came to see if we needed anything but when checking out, our server was very quick with the bill and grabbed our cash payment. The most disgusting thing was charging us the kids drink when the kids menu said it's free. When I asked for the bill to be corrected, the waiter mentioned their lemonade is freshly made and isn't considered a fountain drink (only kids fountain drinks are free with kids meal). It's the worst bull crap we've ever heard. It's not about the money at this point. It's the principle! The kids meal says drinks included and no where does it says lemonade is not included. I'd give this place negative stars if Yelp allows.
I'm not a big restaurant chain-goer so this place is just OK. It's loud and the food is okay at best.
This has always been a good Applebees. I've always received great service here and the specials (like all Applebees) are quite a deal. My friend and I ordered 1 appetizer and 2 decent-sized entrees for $20. You can't beat that.
Where to begin? Haven't been to Applebee's in a long time and boy it has changed for the worst. Took out our daughter here to celebrate her birthday on a Friday night. We were quite surprised it was really busy although we got a table right away around 6pm. Hostess showed us to our table and we sat down. So this is where the fun begins.
We waited for almost 10 minutes without anyone coming to offer us drinks. Suddenly, we see our waiter just as we were going to complain. He asked us if someone was taking care of us. I wanted to tell him do you see anyone here helping us? He took our order and gone he went for another 10 minutes to get our drinks. Did he go to New York to get our drinks? It was just soda and was not even any bar drinks.
After we got our drinks, five minutes later our apps came out. Oh yeah, they charge for kids lemonade as they said it's not a fountain drink. Therefore they charge us extra for kids lemonade. They claim that they made the lemonade by hand which I doubt, I bet it was Hi-C power mixed with water. Getting back to apps, only one came out as we order two items and we had to tell the server it was missing. The crispy chicken wontons was good but it was only three prices while the bbq boneless wings had only five peices. They also don't serve fajitas any longer as the menu shrunk dramatically as well as the portions. I order the fiesta lime chicken and the rice tasted like bird seeds. It was just hard pellets like it just came out of a uncooked rice bag. Chicken was cooked okay but that was about it.
Since my wife mention it was our daughters birthday, they had gave her a small ice cream cup and sang to her which was cool. So we actually ordered the apple chimi cheesecake with ice cream which took another ten minutes to come out. I must say the service is slow, food is mediocre, and the portions were not generous at all. Not saying I would stay away from Applebee's but just this location. Unless they change they will be on the bottom of my "do not dine here" list. Better off going to eat at chipotles or similar place.
Throughout my high school and college days I would always frequent here. Mostly for one reason: Half Apps. After 10PM, you get half priced appetizers here, and man these appetizers will definitely fill you to the brim! Though the portions are smaller now, two of them (comes about to ~$12 with tip) will definitely fill you up.
Just know, if you come on a Friday/Saturday night, expect to wait. Just as I was in high school, a lot of cheap high schoolers and college kids come here for the deal. Just heed that warning.
I came here last night on a date and it was an OK experience. I ordered the strawberry lemonade, which was a bit too sweet. I was disappointed because the server we had did not offer to refill our drinks at all during the course of our meal. For my meal, I ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad, which I have ordered from Applebee's many times before. The salad at this location had a lot of things in it, but not as much lettuce as I would have liked. The chicken on top of the salad was crispy and tasty, just as I had expected it to be. My date had the spicy boneless buffalo wings, which he liked, but said were really too spicy for his taste. We both ended up taking a lot of our food home. Overall, an OK experience, nothing spectacular since everything was just OK.
Very typical chain restaurant. Definitely better than fast food, but the portions are rather small. I guess it depends on what you get, but yesterday I had the lunch special, for $8.99, and I was underwhelmed. My half a sandwich was decent, but very small. I've had much better salad and sandwich combos for the same or similar prices. On the plus side, my mom enjoyed her meal, and while she is like me and will eat whatever, she's usually pretty honest.
Service was fine. The restaurant was pretty crowded for lunchtime (the Friday after Christmas so a lot of people had off). We had to wait only 5 minutes for a table, but one of the hostesses threw menus at us, and told us to look them ahead of time. Normally, I would see this as a positive, but she made it seem like she was trying to rush us out by having us ready to order right away.
I've eaten here before, and I've enjoyed the 1/2 apps and drink specials. Good for groups, easy and quick, and they do have some meals that are worth the price (similarly, for the price, they offer a good variety).
You can eat and drink outside in their new patio area. Food is good, but drinks were wack!
A week ago the weather was nice and warm! All we wanted were margaritas. We stopped in, hoping to get an awesome hour hour drink …. Fail
The bad: The margarita was frozen, nice and slushy but lacked alcohol. My lady and I were disappointed in the drinks. Maybe we are two lushes lol.
The good: The wings were awesome. Had some flavor and nice and crunchy. They are double fried so if you like crispy wing – get em here!
