I've been here about 3-4 times. Pretty much ordered the same thing each time. I am in this stage of my life where I am randomly craving Applebee's boneless BBQ chicken. Blaming it on my friend lmao!
If you order the appetizer they give you a good amount to get you full. It comes with a lot of sauce so I order a side of fries to dip into the sauce. If you order the pick 2 size then they give you five, which is still good since you get another small appetizer with it. I like the pick 2, it's a good price. 2 for 9.99 which is the price of one appetizer. The basket of fries get cold and hard really fast, super weird. The tap water here taste like crap. Too much minerals and junk. It's so nasty.
The service here is up and down. Too inconsistent. Some staff are nice and some just have a bad attitude. Also some disappear on you and you have to chase them down !
Applebee's is one of the last places I would expect to grab dinner. Unfortunately we found ourselves at a wake one night and it was the only late night option available. We called ahead and were told our food would be ready in ten minutes. They do offer curbside pick-up, but after 10 you have to go inside to get the food. When I went inside everyone was very nice and I was in and out in no more than 5 minutes. I ordered the California Shrimp Salad and my husband got the bacon cheeseburger. Both dishes were fine – I appreciated that the salad tasted fresh and was full of shrimp, avocado, bacon and veggies. It's actually something I would order again.
I don't plan on making regular stops here but it's good to know it's here when everything else in the suburbs closes early. I also really appreciated their customer service as it had already been a long day. They at least helped it end on a better note.
