  1. Great sushi quality, extremely fresh fish! Awesome specialty rolls and the fact that they are byob is a big plus! Their ginger salad dressing is amazing and their dumplings are very good as well!
We've also gotten delivery from here numerous times and they are very prompt.
Very happy to have found a delicious sushi spot in the neighborhood!

  2. Very good and reasonably priced.  My nephew and I popped in here with very little time to spare as we had to make it to a concert a couple of doors down.  They were able to accommodate our time constraints.  Everything tasted very fresh.  The salmon tempura roll was excellent!

  3. The solid reviews of this place encouraged me to try Ariyoshi and I'm glad I did.  I got the food to go, but it's a cute little spot and the hostess was incredibly bubbly and friendly, so that bodes well for the service.  We ordered a couple different rolls, sushi/sashimi platter, kani salad and miso soup.  Everything was really fresh and prepared well.  The kani salad was particularly enjoyable, as they don't drown the crab in mayo here like many other places do, allowing the sweet flavors to come out and speak for themselves.  They have a plethora of "special" rolls, many of which have spicy twists, and the couple we tried were excellent (though pricey).

Overall, I really enjoyed the food here and was satisfied enough that I likely won't look any further for my new local spot.  If you're looking for sushi in the area, you should definitely check them out.

  4. "Japanese" restaurant not owned, managed or served by Japanese. Taste and quality of the food very reminiscient of Japanese restaurants that are actually Chinese restaurants in disguise. Nothing memorable about the food, and the price is not a deal either. For what you're paying, you will have better luck with better legit Japanese restaurants in Montclair, Clifton or West Orange.

  5. Went here for the first time Saturday night.  They were able to seat us without a reservation and it is BYOB.  We brought cold sake and our waitress brought out those little hot sake cups which was strange but I didn't let that put me off.  I ordered a variety of sushi ala carte and a spicy mama roll.  The sushi and roll selections were vast.  I tired the monkfish liver which I had never had before and it was mouth watering.  Also tried the black caviar which was very spicy inside.  The Unagi (Eel) was amazing and so tender with all the smoky depth a good unagi has.  The Yellow tail and tuna toro were outstanding.  Sushi came without miso soup so I guess I had to ask for it.  Oh well I will do so next time.  We sat next to a fish tank which was mesmerizing even though it was mostly goldfish. Ample parking in the back near SOPAC.  Really liked this place and the attentive and thoughtful service.  Everyone was pleased with their sushi and their rolls.  We plan on coming back again.
