I really don't want to share this review because this place is (literally) a hidden gem. Luckily for anyone looking, there is a small sign on the street that points you to their cute shop.
The smell of the sweet batter def distracted us. We were so excited…there's just so many choices! We ended up ordering the mango and lychee crepe which was made quickly and was very well presented in the cone holders. For all the ice cream lovers, you will be happy to see the large scoops of ice cream. It was a little difficult deciding where to start eating the ice cream or the crepe first. Thank goodness the crepe was crunch and flaky so it held our treats inside very well.
This place is freaking awesome!!! The crepe is huge and has a crispy crunch to it. Even when I had it to go and ate it at home, it was still crispy and not soggy at all. It's not overly sweet with just the right fragrant sweetness to it. I've tried the crepe with banana & condense milk, crepe with banana & Nutella and crepe with mango and lychee ice cream (comes with two cookies and whip cream) They're all so good. The mango and lychee ice cream is creamy and so full of fruity flavor. The mango tea with popping boba is delicious. Unlike other places ive tried, the popping boba is thin and doesn't have a weird taste to it. The milk bubble tea is good too. Has a nice fragrant tea flavor instead of watery milk flavor like some other places. The staff is very friendly and the place is clean. But kinda small with 6 seats.
Was really excited to try this place. I ordered the matcha crepe. The crepe was thin and crunchy like a cracker. I didn't mind that but it was hard to eat. The red bean and matcha ice cream didn't taste like it was made in house although I'm not surprised. The red bean was still frozen so I did not touch the red bean. I didn't care for the whip cream at this rate. Couldn't waste my calories to consume this matcha crepe either so after a bite of each, I tossed it…
For some reason, I was craving crepes so I yelped for a place nearby. Arnor'e crepe was close enough so I drove out with my BF.
We tried the Nutella strawberry crepe. The crepe was good. It kind of reminded me of the thin cookies with a taste close to pizelle. Nutella is always good so the crepe wasn't too bad. The only downfall is, the crepe is big but the Nutella and strawberry inside didn't fill the crepe so it kind of looks empty.
I also had the oolong milk tea which was good and warm for a chilly day.
They have a if you spend $5, you earn a stamp card so make sure to ask for one.
Parking is pretty easy to find.
Maybe I am spoiled from all the awesome crêpes I've had while living on South Beach, but this was not what I expected. I have also had great crêpes while in Upper West Side NYC, so yeah I was kind of disappointed. I ordered two strawberry crêpes, one for me and another for the little tike so she can experience it too. While writing this review, I literally took another bite juuuust to make sure and my mouth made a definitive agreement with the words of this review. I literally felt as if I had strawberry jelly with bread instead of strawberry crêpes.
As far as the location, it was a cute space, very clean that smelled like ice cream. There was a group of Asian female friends having a great time. I felt as if when the workers here saw me as a black female they made the accurate assumption I probably wouldn't tip before I even had the chance to prove them wrong or right, so they were like you're getting it to go, right?
I let them know I was dining in and shortly after receiving one crêpe, I got up to ask for a fork and knife and then another for my daughter. I later realized, it's easier to eat it with your hands in the little paper holder they provide.
Maybe I am reading too much into it, maybe I am wrong. I was greeted with a friendly smile when I first walked in so don't take my word for something that I may be the one making an incorrect assumption on, I will give them that. But what I cannot give is a stellar review for the crêpes I had. Flaky, dry with little flavor.
At the end of the day, or rather shall I say night, maybe they have great milkshakes or other items, maybe it was a bad night for crêpes, who knows. I just know that I came a long distance, taking uber for the first time so I could expose my little one to crêpes for the very first time and learned a very valuable lesson… go to Whole Foods, buy crêpes there and eat it at home.
You have to come here for the crepes! They're not too sweet, which I like. I actually finished the whole thing. I recommend the strawberry and lychee ice cream. The combination of black bean ice cream and red beans compliments each other. Definitely coming back!
Very cute place with 3 tables inside and a bench outside. Wish there was more sitting area!
They have big selection of crepes and bubble teas- both pretty good. Savory and sweet crepes are all made to order, super fresh and bursting with flavor. Even my 3 year old enjoyed delicious crepe!
Their food presentation on point!
On behalf of the crepes, the batter could use a lot of work. Without the filling inside, it's pretty much tasteless and is not too appetizing by itself. I ordered the lychee mango crepe which comes with a scoop of each ice-cream inside. It was $8.75 and it would've been nice if they had bits of mango or lychee inside. T-swirl and eightturncrepe make much better Asian crepes, but arnor does not have much competition given that it's the only one of its kind in the area. They give you a stamp card where you get $5 off when you spend $50.
