  1. This place was pretty good, although at 7:45 on a Wednesday morning, it took forever to get my food and drink when tons of people who ordered the same thing after me got theirs. So in other words, my complaint wasn't that good food takes time… its that it seemed like they forgot mine. I had to remind them twice I was still there… and I was only waiting for a toasted bagel.

Overall, good coffee, good food… but a very odd ordering/waiting structure where people just mill about in the center of the restaurant waiting for their stuff.

  2. Simple cafe. I needed a reliable place to just do some paperwork for a few hours and came in here. I've always found a space to sit down here, which is my favorite thing.

There is open and free wi-fi (you have to just log in in your browser) and it worked fine for me.

Coffee is average. They do offer food here, but I've never tried it before! The employees were average as well to me – not inviting and warm, but not rude either.

  3. I was finished with a walking tour of Lower Manhattan and stopped in with a friend at the Aroma Espresso Bar-we were somewhat hungry and the choices were significant. I got a cappuccino and a croissant and my friend got salmon and cream cheese on a croissant and an iced tea. You place your order, pay and then pick it up when it is ready or if it takes some time, I saw some actually have their ordered delivered to where they were sitting. It is a large space with many seats around the periphery of the space and assorted tables in the center. [It could do with a few more tables] It is run be an Israeli group and there are others in downtown Manhattan. I was at the one in Tribeca but have also stopped for a quick bite at the one in SoHo. If you are a frequent visitor, you can get a card that they will punch and after 12 cups purchased, the 13th cup is free. I would recommend and return.

  4. Aroma is a great place to grab a coffee/espresso or tea and or a quick bite to eat .

I've been here a few times , unfortunately i only get to come when i have to work in the city which is very rare but whenever i do , i try to make it over for a great cup of coffee and maybe a freshly in house baked pastry or sandwich.

They have a bunch of different drinks to choose from , from juices to coffee and teas Hot or Iced and a decent breakfast/lunch menu to choose from . All coffees and teas are served with a little piece chocolate which has their name on the wrapper

Its like a starbucks but alot bigger and its always busy inside but well worth the wait ,there's alot of seating inside if you wanna sit .

i really dont think you'll be disappointed with whatever you decide to go with .

Just try it when you're near one !

  5. This place is spacious and has a lot of seating options – booth, window bar, counter bar, or tables.

Just ordered a green tea, so nothing special like their hot chocolates. But it is nice that they include a piece of chocolate with the drink!

Only bad thing was the bathroom, it felt like a sauna. I don't want to be steaming in a public bathroom.

*free wifi and there are outlets

  6. Ordered delivery and it was perfect. Food came hot and on time. I was concerned as other people seem to have issues with delivery but it was seamless. I had the shakshouka with gluten free roll. Also very easy to order here with dietary restrictions, currently lactose and gluten free.  The gluten free roll they provide is the BEST gluten free roll I have ever had. I couldn't even taste the different and it was vegan. Overall wonderful experience.

  7. Hours are either wrong or I got kicked out of here early because I was here on a Monday night and I was told they close at 930 as I was sitting enjoying my coffee. I didn't see any hours on the door so I'm not sure what time they really close. This was my first visit to this location but the coffee at aroma is always good so not too many complaints.

  8. I've grown to love the coffee here at Aroma. It can be pricey and you may definitely crave the taste of Starbucks or Dunkins beans more but still a good cup of coffee. Less acidic and pungent, more of a smooth, light flavor. They have full breakfast including omelettes with toast or oatmeal. The chocolate and almond croissants are hearty and dense. Seating is perfect for getting work done or having  a meeting. Have patience, your getting a carefully cup of joe.
