Asian Bowl Restaurant
“Most people in the neighborhood I guess walk in and order to take out, or order over the phone for pickup or delivery.”
“You can taste the layers of flavor from the coconut milk to the lime…”
“The menu has a number of interesting things to try and I look forward to trying them as Glen Oaks' eating options increase in diversity and quality.”

I'm surprised I haven't tried this place sooner. There's a variety of different food on here. I tried the Pad Thai and it was really good. Now I don't have to venture too far for Thai food now that I finally tried this place.
Pad see ew had an odd bittery taste. Thai iced tea did not taste right. Delivery was prompt. Would order again if in desperate need of quickly delivered food.
Small Thai-Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. I'd been here multiple times for dinner dine-in or take out but I have never review the place as I was not an active Yelper yet during the previous visits. We needed a place to cool off as the temperature outside was low 90's. This place was a descent find. We had snacks.
My girlfriends and I ordered each one a bubble tea. You could do a mix and match flavor or stick in single flavor. I liked what I had, lychee and mango combo. Tangy and sweet . We ordered dumpling as our appetizer. Just alright serving size and taste.
I like the coziness and cleanliness of the place. It has an A grading posted by the door. Our server was nice and gentle. I find the food though about average of 50 to 75 cents more comparably. Good cooling system , we stayed longer than we were expecting. Surprised that the place was not crowded for a Sunday. We were not rushed to leave .
Modest place to hang out for small group.
With all the Chinese Food options out there it is really hit or miss.
We found this place on yelp…what a great meal!!
Food is delicious and delivery is super fast. Even in a huge thunderstorm I might add.
Definately try the coconut fried rice and sesame chicken!
We will definately be ordering again.
Usually get take-out from this spot. They used to be in Rockville Center and now they are closer to my location which is great! They make fantastic Pad Thai along with numerous Thai dishes. In addition they come in large portions for the price. I would recommend it to everyone due to the quality of food, they have great customer service as well! I order from this spot probably once every 2 weeks.
Have ordered take out and delivery once apiece now. Nothing about the food screams "exceptional" but it's not a bad place to have on your list of places to order from if you don't feel like cooking or dining out.
1st experience was delivery. Food arrived in a fair amount of time, even during peak weekend dining hours.
2nd experience was takeout. Food was ready in the promised amount of time and the only complaint was that we were missing one order of rice for one of the curries we ordered. Guess we can give the one pass for that.
In general, food is pretty generously portioned and well prepared. We have ordered several Thai dishes and I wouldn't say they are super authentic tasting. We tend to order from another Thai restaurant on Francis Lewis Blvd. and that spot seems to be much more "authentic". I guessthey're kind of like Olive Garden (for Italian food) in that way. Food is not as spicy as manyThai restaurants tend to be so make sure you ask for enough hot sauce/chilli paste if you like a little kick in your meal.
Favorite dish so far has been the Garlic Chicken. Chicken Panang and Chicken Green curries have been adequate but, again, missing a little something special.
Will probably try dining in at least once to see how we like it but I would take out or order from here again.
Asian Bowl is a nice little restaurant tucked away on Union Tpke. It's close to work and we order from there all the time. I appreciate the quality ingredients; everything is always fresh. Takeout is quick. We've eaten in too and it's a bit slow if you're in a rush to get back to work. They are more of a Thai Asian fusion than your typical Chinese restaurant. They have specialty dishes and the regular fare. The fresh noodles are delicious and I really like the spring rolls. Probably the best Chinese food in the area.
First off, they told me their drunken noodles WAS pad kee mao….umm, no it wasn't. And second, they delivered soggy, oily noodles. Definitely not ordering from here again.
