We ordered take-out this weekend. The wait was 20-25 minutes, but the food was worth the wait!
We ordered steamed dumplings, chicken and cashews, shrimp in garlic sauce, and shrimp lo mein. We also received two free egg rolls as part of a promotion. The steamed dumplings were flavorful and large. (We received 8 of them for $4.20–a great price!) The shrimp were much larger than I've received from other Chinese places and the sauce was very flavorful. There were no complaints at all from this crowd!
This is my go to place for Chinese food in the area. I lived in the city for quite a few years and can say with confidence that Asian Wok is the best Chinese food outside of China town that I have had. The food is great and the steam dumplings in hot sesame oil are to die for. Delivery does take some time on weekends, but pick up is a breeze.
I have to say first, that I am normally a customer of Mom's Kitchen. However, i used Asian Wok a few times, usually for Sunday lunch since Mom's opens after 4 on Sunday. Yesterday i had a really mixed meal from them, the deliciousness and the very little greasiness of the fried rice and boneless spareribs, which is saving the 3 stars.
The Dumplings were not that great and the dipping sauce was just terrible. It literally was not eatable so i ate a few without the sauce, which is disappointing.
The egg roll was good, but fairly bland and short on anything outside of veggies in it. At least it was cooked nicely and tasted fair.
The service was good and timely and the people behind the counter gave my daughter a free Chinese Calendar which she liked.
