An adorable local coffee shop right off the 30th Ave stop on the N,Q line. They have a simple menu of coffees, teas, espresso. But my favorite things about this place are the giant windows that let in streams of sunlight, clean homey look, and the baristas are so friendly! They even sell beanies next to the register that were handmade by a regular customer.
If you have dairy restrictions, they also offer soy and almond milk.
Went in on an early Friday morning and it was QUIET. Perfect if you want to get some work done. Some other customers commandeered another table and was working away productively. Wifi is limited to one hour though.
No credit card minimum!
Got to try their regular latte and a chai latte and both were pretty good. Both had great flavor and were creamy and smooth. The chai latte had a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. I liked the regular latte more so than the chai. They also have small bites like cookies, croissants, muffins, etc. There are 3 small tables with a larger one and accessible outlets if you need to charge your laptop/phone. Open concept, large windows bringing in lots of sunlight, …quite a nice spot actually.. just that the chairs were uncomfortable since they don't have a backrest. Something to consider if you do plan on studying or being there for a long period of time. Otherwise, it's a great spot to catch up with a friend.
Nice little coffee shop in Astoria that my friends wanted to check out. I'm not a coffee drinker and wasn't in any mood for any coffee, but I saw they had ice cream sandwiches. These weren't your grocers ice cream sandwiches! They were 2 oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream in the middle that were very good. I worked up a thirst after the ice cream so I decided to get an iced lemon ginger tea that was quite refreshing.
The girl behind the counter was very nice and conversational with us about the shop. The place is setup with a few hi-tops for everyone to sit and enjoy your coffee shop goods as well as popping open the laptop and getting some work done. Beer is sold here as well!
Customer service at its best! The person who took my order was the warmest and most hospitable person I have ever encountered behind a counter. Ordered a matcha latte and it was delicious. They showcase art that you can buy. The place is small so it is not always possible to find a seat.
My go-to coffee shop when I'm in the area. I love their drip coffee, although I feel that some days it tastes better than the other days. I do like to splurge once in a while and get a soy latte. Their menu is simple, kind of like the space, and I like that. I do wish I could get a seat there to enjoy my cup of coffee, but it's always so crowded!
A small cafe in astoria, but worth a visit. We had a regular latte (excellent) and the green tea matcha latte (really good). Overall, the coffee/beverages seem to be really good.
Great coffee spot.. It's a cool little spot with limited seating.. The barista was very nice and helpful with my coffee. They also have a variety of cookies, muffins and croissants.. My girlfriend's matcha latte looked amazing.. I will definitely be trying that next time.
So I went for the vocabulary bee, so it was a little crowded, but I thought it was a great spot. Really good prices on wine and beer (pretty sure it was the special for the bee). A variety of teas and coffee, a definitely spot to catch up with friends or work on projects off the side.
