  1. This is a very decent diner in Queens.

The food is good (basic diner fare – eggs, pancakes, burgers, etc.). The service is friendly if a bit intrusive. The prices are very fair. The bathrooms also appeared very clean.

When in Queens, this is a good option.

  2. Good food, friendly staff, and there is always parking. This is usually my go-to place for some grub whenever I'm not looking to drive too far. I've been here many times and have always left happy.

  3. The renovations did them well. We've been here a few times and also with my parents and the food has been on point. The usuals-burgers, turkey burgers, and wraps have been very good, with gigantic portions which we usually end up taking home. On our last visit with the parents we did the dinner for two which was a great deal. We got an appetizer, soup or salad, and entrees and dessert for $32 each. Considering how much food we got it was worth it. We had plenty of leftovers that night! The chicken were awesome btw, super crispy and flavorful. I had the Cajun tilapia which was also amazing. I was very surprised. I would definitely try other dinner entrees based on that meal. The dining room is very spacious with lots of seating. The decor is nice with lots of blues and water colors. It's definitely a step up from the old diner.

  4. Not exactly the healthiest of breakfast options on the menu, but after a night of fun and frolicking I'm not looking for a fruit cup or a piece of cantaloupe with cottage cheese. I do understand the theory that what you choose to eat for your first meal of your day will affect the rest of your day's energy level and how you feel through out the majority of day. (IE: eating poorly begets a crummy feeling all day)

However I have lived by the mantra that Sunny-side-up eggs are an excellent way to start the day and with the corn beef hash beneath, the day began quite well.

Great service, very clean inside and given the congestion of Atlantic Diners location, its great to have the ability to park in a parking lot.

  5. Best diner in Southern Queens. Came here on a Saturday morning and had a very short wait time. The food came out fast and was delicious.

  6. After dancing yesterday night at Zen Hibachi Lounge, some of my friends and I headed over to Atlantic Diner (1:40AM). The ceiling is really cool. There's fish in the sky! [eye candy]

As we walked in, the group of ladies/waitresses to the left paid no mind to us. The register area, was also busy, and we were looking around and waiting to be seated. There were plenty of booths open. Finally, one of the waiters noticed us, and he takes us to a booth far away from the main entry. Thank goodness! It was really chilly that night and we were all wearing skimpy clothes for our shenanigans prior!

The waiter was really humbling and humorous. Becky made a lot of unique comments and he played along. 🙂 [verbal candy]

I ordered eggs over easy w/ some toast. Becky had sweet potato fries and battered shrimp. Sam got regular fries with calamari, and Ena had buffalo wings with coffee.

Everyone loved their dishes. It was fresh and delicious.

The tables and booths were clean, but the window sill was a bit dusty. They should get a fluffy swiffer-duster and rid of the dust in a few minutes!

Next time I'm in the area, and in the mood for happy eats, I'd go back!

Happy eats to all of you too!

  7. I ordered a burger and fries for delivery. The food while in it's containers was in disarray upon opening of said containers. The burger was lacking seasoning for me and way too oily. The fries were soggy and rather limp. I'm thinking the food eating in would probably be better, but this is definitely the last time I order delivery.

  8. I've been coming to this diner for a few years now and my most recent visit was nothing short of what I'm use to.

The staff and management in this establishment go above and beyond most restaurants in the customer service department. Always armed with a smile and a friendly thing to say, I always leave here happy.

I try not to get lost in their massive menu but know that no matter what you order it will be nicely presented, full of flavor and very large portions! I ordered the grilled chicken BLT this last time and was pleased to see about 4-6 slices of nicely crisp bacon on it and I only ate half and saved the rest for the next day. A lot of the items come with a side of coleslaw and a pickle. I'm pretty picky when it comes to coleslaw that I didn't personally make but I found it to be pretty decent in my opinion and not watery (which I hate!).

Decor is par for diners round the country but they do try to remain festive and jazz up the windows when they can. My only gripe with this place isn't really reflective of them but the parking situation is very annoying. They share a lot with a small shopping center next door and if you drive anything other than a golf cart be prepared to spend 5 minutes doing a million point turn to get in and out. I'd advised coming on the bus or walking if you can.
