  1. I thought Au Bon Pain would have a decent bagel, since it's a chain. Apparently, they don't. The bagel looked normal enough but did not taste good ($1.39 + $0.12 tax).  Way to represent NY, airport bagel!!

  2. My NYC Eating Vacation ended at Au Bon Pain right by the gate at LGA..

Not much choice when one inside the Security area…

Dark muddy looking coffee that had brewed and been sitting for hours which I doubt any amount of cream will able to lightening it up..

Sandwiches, pastries that looks so unappetizing that made me start my diet early to lose all those lbs I gain that last few days! That alone worth that 1 star.

  3. Well what can you say about airport oatmeal?? Expectations  were low and for good reason it seems. Oatmeal was thick and gummy. Trashed  it.

  4. The Au Bon Pain in LGA across from Metro Burger is a great option, since there are so few choices. They have fresh food and a healthy selection of wraps and salads. It is better than most Au Bon Pain's which only have those pre-packaged soggy sandwiches and the bakery items that have been sitting there all day drying up.

  5. Well, they have more than just the small kiosk at LGA now.    It almost looks like a mix between a Panera and McDonald's now.

What I like about the new location:
-They have a fresh sandwich bar
-There's a bunch of tea's and coffee's you can select.

    What I don't like:
-It can be confusing to order.  I think I had to order my sandwich first at the sandwich counter, then wait for it and pick it up and then pay for it. That's lining up three times.  Not a fan of that.

Verdict: It's not great, but it does the job for a pre-flight meal.

  6. At LGA, you have choices. Would you like Au Bon Pain? Or Au Bon Pain twenty feet away? Or how about the Au Bon Pain 100 meters away and on the right?

A monopoly, you say? Don't be silly.

Sarcasm aside, I didn't find it to be too terrible. The salads are pretty decent, and they have other things to choose from, if rabbit food isn't your thing. There are wraps, parfaits, pastries and other little nibbles (KIND bars, chips, fruit). Were this not a company-paid trip, I wouldn't do so much as wait in line for five seconds. But when you're hungry, and it's free, ABP does the trick.

  7. I can't imagine giving any Au Bon Pain a bad review. They could be serving their products from a garbage can and I'd be a fan. This location is no exception. Their location is smack dab in the middle of terminal C with efficiency written all over it. They have everything you would normally expect from an Au Bon Pain. Pastries, Soups, Sandwiches and coffee and tea. Everything to complete your morning. I usually grab myself a tea and pastry and once I anailate both I feel as though I can conquer the world.

  8. Food – substandard but what do you expect from LaGuardia airport?

    Decor – crappy.

    Service – slow but passable.

Ambiance – are you friggin kidding me?

Fruit cup, hard boiled egg whites, and a coffee to just play it safe and hopefully not get food poisoning.

At least I am flying Jet Blue for the win!
