  1. Stopped by to pick up a birthday cake since we were in the area and no other bakery seems to have as many raving reviews.  The bakery itself is extremely cute with lots of natural sunlight.  The pretty lady who was assisting me was very sweet and friendly, helping me select a cake that, although wasn't perfect, was good enough for the occasion.  We ended up buying the sesame red bean cake and a iced mint lemon with honey.  The cake was a hit amongst adults, with people having seconds – cream was airy and not too sweet, and ingredient combinations would be admired by Asians without a doubt.  Unfortunately, kids didn't like it too much – probably because it wasn't ice cream or your typical overly sweet cake with thick frosting.  I do wish, however, that the layer of black sesame was a bit thicker because it would've brought out more of the special sesame aroma and flavor.  All in all, still a delightful cake.  The iced mint and lemon drink was also refreshing for a humid day.

  2. Cutest desserts ever! The moment we walked in, I knew were were in for a treat – they've got a cute cake display out front, a huge hello kitty wall decal on the walls and even more hello kitty decor next to their dessert display.

All the desserts looked so good that we couldn't decide on just one. Instead, we got three:
    – Green Tea Crepe: I'm not a fan of green tea myself, but my boyfriend loves it. This had a strong matcha flavor to it and some chunks of mango in between!
    – Lychee Mango Mousse: I love lychee, and I love mango so this one was a no brainier for me. I wish there was more of a lychee flavor to it, but I do like how creamy this was
    – Strawberry Tiramisu: I don't know if I'd really call this a tiramisu. No espresso or lady fingers to be found here. It DID have layers of a vanilla cake, strawberries and then a strawberry mousse on top, though!

This seems like it would be a peaceful place to study or do work. It's pretty quiet in here, and they've got a lot of light coming in. Only slight downside is that they don't have toooooo many seating options in here

  3. The desserts here are pretty good and I always end up getting something matcha/green tea. After eating any meal nearby on 86th St, it's become a habit to visit here. Always gotta satisfy that sweet tooth. I find myself getting the dessert where there's red bean on the bottom of the square cup, with some cake, green tea mousse and topped with matcha powder showing a bear. I've tried other flavors too but green tea always hits the spot. Not too sweet and just right. During the warmer or hotter days, I often times get the Pineapple Basil drink. It's an amazingly good drink. The basil flavor isn't too strong because I'm not a dam of basil and the pineapple taste doesn't make the drink too sweet. The balance is spot on. I've eaten there and have ordered to go. The people who work there are really nice and friendly. It's a cute little place where you can chill with your dessert/drink or both while chatting with friends. The prices are not too bad, honestly think it's quite decent for dessert.

  4. Been here a few times, had coffee & teas, and possibly a green tea variety of something… Yes, it's a trend thing. Can't quite remember why I stopped coming…

Skip the coffee & teas… Better off w/ the oodles of bakery & less $teep!! (Seriously, walk 2 doors down to Kowloon Cafe and grab a HK style milk tea! Delicious!)

Came to purposely buy 2 birthday cakes for the weekend.  There were 3 customers ahead of me. It literally took 25 mins for me to leave this place and I ALMOST just walked out…

It's a Saturday afternoon, only 1 person working the counter. She's taking "customized cake order" while the other customers (me included) waited over 20 mins to even get a word in… That 1 individual was running back & forth between the front counter and back kitchen…

The other 2 customers ordered tea & brunch sets.  After what felt like an eternity, I ordered my 2 cakes.  Large Lychee & Mango mousse cake and a small Tiramisu cake, total bill $139.  Was it worth it? Nope. Mediocre pastry.  Don't be deceive by the looks… I did.  Should've just went to Baskin Robbins for an ice cream cake…

For the lack of service, overpriced mediocre cakes, a wannabe subpar French pastry cafe – and the cheapo boss who won't hire more help… MINUS 3 stars… I'm being generous with 2 stars because the poor girl boxed the cakes nicely.   I will stick with Tous Les Jour… An overpriced Korean pastry cafe, at least their cakes tastes good! Next!!!!

    Happy "skipping this one" Yelpers!

  5. Audrey was one of the first cafe bakeries in this neighborhood that has fused together asian and western favors to make cake. Most of their cakes are sponge cakes making them very light and fluffy.

Some of my favorites from Audrey include the green tea tiramisu and their strawberry moouse.  Its not too sweet but very strong in REAL strawberry flavor. They also serve good teas in their very cute and girly decorated cafe.

In general, their cakes are okay, nothing too special other than the ones I mentioned.

  6. This is a really cute little cafe. I was drawn in by the decorative desserts. I got the red bean matcha green tea cake which was creamy and light although it could use a thicker layer of red bean. I also got the vanilla bean macaroon which was delicious very crispy and airy with thick tasty cream filling. The rose lavender tea with honey is also another excellent choice since I could pick out each individual note without it being too overwhelming or sweet. The prices are very fair and the staff is very welcoming and sincerely sweet as their desserts. I will definitely come by again!

  7. Hello Kitty imprinted on desserts?  Count me in!

It's a small space with very limited seating and the Cuteness factor in there is just ridiculous.  Pink walls w/ anime characters on them, collection of plush toys by the window, chalkboard menus, not to mention all the hello kitty and bunny imprinted desserts!

There's no question their desserts are CUTE.  But they weren't mind blowing, unfortunately.

I enjoyed the Green Tea Mango Crêpe cake it was a little too matcha-y for me, and I LOVE matcha.  It was just a little mushy and I could barely taste the mango.

Out of the 3 desserts we tried, my second favorite was the Hello Kitty Strawberry Tiramisu which was creamy and the strawberry was highlighted well.

My favorite of the 3 was the Lychee Mango Mousse.  It was incredibly creamy but I did wish the lychee flavor was more pronounced.  This could've been so much better!

Customer Service was amazing.  My girlfriend and I were very indecisive and changed our order a couple of times.  She was very patient and efficient!

I would recommend that people check this place out!  The artistry is impressive, and the desserts are good!

  8. Do you ever see a baby or puppy so cute that you want to hug and squeeze their head until it explodes? That's Audrey's Concerto in dessert bar form. For some reason, it's Hello Kitty themed, and the decor looks like a bridal shower. That said, the green tea crepe cake is a nice light fluffy dessert. I like it better than Lady M's. I hate that I go to so many dessert shops.
