My first time trying authentic Azerbaijani food was a very enjoyable experience. Came to this Sheepshead Bay place and was warmly greeted upon entry. Ordered a lamb kebob as an appetizer and it was juicy and flavorful served with a nice tomato sauce on the side. Ordered the piti, a nice soup with chickpeas, lamb and potato which had a nice, slightly gamey flavor and the meat was very tender. They gave me a side of spices which, when added to the soup gave it a nice sweetness. Tried the Plov which was just as delicious and had sweet figs mixed in with the rice and lamb. Service was very welcoming and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend this place. Definitely give it a try.
