  1. My companion and I were really craving for bagel sandwiches this morning. During our morning walk, we stumbled upon Bagel Cafe on the corner of 85th Street and 37th Avenue.

    We shared the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on Plain Bagel and a Toasted Sesame Flat Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese. Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on Plain Bagel was such a hearty and tasty sandwich. The ingredients were fresh and the bagel was perfectly toasted. Toasted Sesame Flat Bagel was crunchy and I loved the taste of toasted sesame seeds. Scallion Cream Cheese was the perfect match for it.

    We also shared the coffee together that had a diner-style breakfast coffee taste. Believe it or not, bagels were already selling out when I was there around 12:00 pm on Sunday. Grab them when you can!

  2. I've been to this spot a few times and I am happy with what I have had. This building seems like it has always been a bagel shop, there always seems to be a new owner, some are hits and some are misses, but the current owner is doing it right. On the wall they have these vintage photos of Jackson Heights and it's a nice touch since I always remember this spot being a bagel shop. I spoke with the owner for a few and he grew up in Corona so it's nice that a local opened up shop not too far from where he grew up. Also, it's a breakfast and lunch spot so they are open 6am-4pm everyday. They also offer free wifi with a Time Warner account, there is an icon for Bagel Cafe but I didn't ask if it was free.

    The food:

    Toasted poppy bagel with scallion cream cheese- This is my go to bagel and the one here is really good. The bagel is double toasted for a crunchy exterior and has a nice chewy interior.

    Sausage egg and cheese on a toasted sesame bagel- the bagel is great, nice chew and crunch and the sausage and eggs are done well.

  3. Local hot spot. This place is always Bumping. Service is fast and friendly. I can never understand what the owner is saying but who cares. His food is killer!  The value is incredible, I have no idea how the food is this good for the price.

  4. Love this place. Cute cozy decor, great friendly staff. The most delicious cup of coffee I've had in a long time!! Veggie cream cheese was off the charts. Definitely make it a point to stop in here for breakfast. Fast, friendly, and delish.

    Haven't tried lunch here yet but I plan on it. Stay tuned…..
