Meh, no thanks. I came here on a whim the other day for a quick bagel. I got poppy seed with veggie cream cheese. It was $3.25.
It wasn't worth $3.25.
They put WAY too much cream cheese on the bagel, to the point I had to wipe some off. What a waste! The cream cheese itself could have had more flavor. The bagel was nothing special.
I never came here before so I didn't know that they have a $7 card minimum. The rude woman at the counter just said "can't use that Hun" when I went to give her my card. She didn't even say there was a minimum (maybe I would have bought a drink or something, duh).
I ate my bagel, well, half of it and put my garbage in the little brown bag it came in. 2 seconds later that same woman comes by and snatches the bag off the table and puts down a napkin dispenser. OK…..
I was really uncomfortable and left. I was there not even 15 minutes. There are other bagel places to go to, so I would recommend doing so.
bagels were good and scallion cream cheese was nice and creamy. they have a range of sandwiches they make with their bagels but we later found out that they had completely overcharged us.
Ever since moving to the neighborhood, I've been trying almost every bagel shop along 3rd avenue. So far, this is my least favorite one because the people who work here have no sense of order. Worst of all, the lady at the cash register (I assume is the boss) has some serious hearing problems. I told her I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese and she kept asking me if it was plain. I said "No." But she proceeded to charge me for something I did not order, which she thought I ordered an extra plain bagel on top of my original order. Don't know how that happened but I didn't want to argue with her so I ended up with an extra plain bagel. As far as the quality of the bagel, they're small and stale. Also, their coffee is watered down. Very disappointed.
Since my church is close to this place, I have come here several times to grab a bagel for breakfast. It's always busy here in the mornings so if you're in a rush, you might want to go somewhere else. I always get a plain toasted bagel with strawberry creamcheese. I love how they toast their bagels because it's to the point where it's warm and the outside is nice and crispy but the bagel still remains chewy. Their strawberry cream cheese is perfectly sweet and creamy. I hear from my friends there are also a lot of other great items on their menu. I'll have to try those the next time I'm in the mood for something different here. One negative is that it's a little pricey. I paid $3.40 for a bagel and cream cheese.
Great bagels. $1 each or a dollar off if you get a dozen. We came shortly after they opened (on two separate mornings) and enjoyed bagels that were so fresh they were will hot from cooking. Not a huge selection but all the standard options. Nice chewy exterior, soft inside.
I really like this please because it is one of the nicer bagel shops in the area. They also have many bagels which is a big plus. It can get crowded at prime morning afternoon times on the weekends. The coffee is also pretty good and they had a lot of in-house made desserts.
I like this little place. Great atmosphere, staff, and food. They even deliver if you so desire. Thanks for being so close to my current home, you make my mornings so much better. 😉
First of all, If you're not a regular here, you would not know the ordering process of this place, and there's no line system, you order your bagels in the back by the deli counter, then order your drinks in the front counter, or vice versa, and pay in the front when everything's ready, when it gets busy, everyone's just waiting around and you have to politely ask if others before you have already ordered! What a hassle!
Secondly, there's been a price hike on everything, and there's extra charge for butter!! Friend ordered a small latte but were given and charged for the large.
With everything said, bagels are still good! I just won't go regularly since I dont' want my wallet to shrink like my skinny jeans!
