Bagel Spot has basically the lingo 'the spot' in the High School, because of how close it is and how frequent they go there. It also is a spot where seniors will sneak out of school, to get a bagel, then sneak back into school. It's just that good.
I have been going to Bagel Spot since a kid on Sunday mornings, where I started with a salt bagel, then moved to a garlic bagel with cream cheese to my first choice now, which is their everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. It's all delicious and are the best bagels I've had in New Jersey. I've only had one better bagel in Long Island.
The Spot is not any that looks gorgeous and if you go at the wrong time, the line could wind around the 'spot' then out the door. The prices have also changed since I was a kid, and I think the bagels with special cream cheese is above $2.50 now. Other than the increase in price, I have no issues with Bagel Spot and will continue to drive/walk there for years to come.
