I came here on a Saturday morning for a late breakfast since my breakfast buddy is a regular here. There was a line but it moved pretty fast since there were about three people behind the counter helping customers. I decided to go with an egg, turkey bacon and cheese on a toasted croissant and it was pretty tasty and it didn't take long to get after placing our order. They had a few selections of spreads and pastries, the only negative was that their bagel selections were limited and I didn't see any whole wheat which are my favorite but I didn't ask so maybe they were just not on display.
This bagel shop is my 2nd choice for bagels in the morning.
That doesn't mean that they aren't good. I think if they opened just a tad early than 7am it might sway me to grab my bagel fixes here more often. Having to get to work earlier than most people sometimes doesn't gives the best options breakfast wise.
The service has been steady. Most times they are good, some times they are great.
I normally just get everything bagels with jam but they do have sandwiches here as well as the option for making sandwiches in bagels. I've tried a few and waiting on a few more before I make my final judgement but it's all been delish. You can always refer to my pictures for clarity.
Having to call out "Hello", "Is anybody working the front today?" is really not the initial start I had hoped for, but it is how my day began at Bagels For You. After a fleeting feeling of turning around and walking out, an employee who was clearly not a counter worker emerged from the back.
He begrudgingly took my order, but kept a pleasant demeanor and got my order in the bag without haste. Within five minutes, the counter girl appeared and really did not take much notice nor interest in the slowly growing line behind me.
The everything bagel with cream cheese I ordered did not have any "wow" factor, just a standard Forest Hills bagel. However the coffee was really terrific and is the main reason that I may make a return trip to Bagels
I came here after work to grab a quick bite — ordered the Russian Panini. It was decent, at $8 and came with chips which was a pleasant surprise. The service was quick even though they were about to close.
