It's the neighborhood bagel shop. Bagels are OK it's just annoying that they started to charge $0.15 for toasting. I mentioned recently they are open until 9 p.m. as they use to close by 5:30 p.m. I guess they will be hurting from the upcoming Dunkin Donuts shop across the street that will be opening up soon and they are trying to find new way to serve the neighborhood. I would like them to do well as small business so I would suggest they work on better quality Bagels, Pricing and listen to your customers and wave $0.15 toasting charge as most of your customers are annoyed by it. Improve your menu and be more flexible with credit cards charges.Good luck!
I got two bagels from here the other day and I was not impressed. The first one was basically like an everything but then they scraped off everything so there was only a faint smell of onion and garlic.
The second one was better but still and real lack of toppings. My other gripe is when I say lightly buttered, that doesn't saturate it so that the butter is completely soaked through the entire bagel.
Going up in Long Island there never seemed to be a problem or a lack of good bagels,
Best bacon egg and cheese on a bagel in the area!! but be warned when the church service across the street is I've you're gonna wait forever.
This place has fallen downhill over the last few years, or maybe it's always been this way. This place reeks of greediness and the owner does not make this place one bit better–it's the guy who is always at the register that can't care to crack a smile, doesn't greet you, and treats you like you're only a number, good for your money. Worst yet, he has even opened my sandwich with his nasty, ungloved hands to check what it was because he couldn't hear me well–yup, his money-touching hands was just the quintessential finishing ingredient I needed to fill my empty stomach.
The workers who make your food, on the other hand, are actually quite friendly and nice. They're quick and efficient and really answer to your needs. When my food isn't touched with bare hands, I quite enjoy their bagel sandwiches.
Local Woodside bagel spot can be in hit or miss sometimes. Sometimes the bagels are really good and soft and warm and yummy and then other times they can be hard as a rock and a total miss. Just OK bagel spot it's not a place I would run to make it I need your bagels as a craving. Service moves quickly, place your order go the counter pay and pick it up. There prices are moderate but they may need to start stepping it up since Dunkin' Donuts is move in right across the street. Oh something strange I told the lady at the counter my order. She rang me up I see the total is $10.07 so I gave her a $10 bill and $.10 she then says to me it's 11 something I pointed to the register and she says to me I didn't had your tea OK whatever I gave her the money waited for my change and I never saw her add the tea to the total on the register which is strange what is trying to pocket the price of a cup of tea? This place has always through the years given different prices on the same item you may have ordered for years there not consistent and they charge you to toast your bagel
