  1. Been coming here for my morning bagel and coffee for 14 years and it's been setting the bar ever since; a true brooklyn bagel synonymous with the glory that is New York.

*The official home of the flagel– a flattened bagel perfectly crispy on the outside, a must have if you stop in.

Recently moved to Massachusetts and have yet to try a bagel spot remotely resembling the perfection of Bake City's bagels.

  2. Fantastic bagels. It's a true neighborhood establishment, and it's home of the original Flagel. What's a flagel? It's a flat bagel. It's delicious.  Bake City bakes the best in the area. You'll be hard pressed to find a better bagel in Gravesend.

  3. We tried their bassant and their French toast bagel with the works – pretty good. This place is just like your typical bagel place. They've got a good selection of bagels, drinks and some snacks on the side.

First up, the bassant! They roll bagel dough and croissant dough together, then they bake it like a croissant. The result is a twisted bassant with a crispy exterior. It's got the flakiness of a croissant, but the satisfaction of a bagel. We got an everything bassant, and they definitely don't skimp on the toppings. I could've used more cream cheese, but I did like this.

As for the French toast bagel with the works (maple syrup, butter and French toast) – it was alright. I prefer cream cheese to butter, so I would've liked more on the bagel. It definitely did taste like breakfast though!

My only complaint is that they do take a bit longer here, which wouldn't be so bad buuuut both of them were burnt more than I would've liked.

  4. Other than the 50 percent longer wait than most bagel shops all though they have a good amount of workers and not that much traffic the place is worth coming to.

They have a few original items like the bassant which is a mix of a bagel and a croissant and its freaking delicious.
They carry this in multiple flavors! I believe it's 2 bucks each which is a bit pricey but if you get it w nutella it's like 3.50-4 and that seems like a fair deal.

They also carry a bunch of flagels which are flat bagels and they are also loaded w lots of flavor and my favorite is the everything.

Def try this place and don't forget to comment and let me know what you thought

  5. Flagel isnt bad but its a novelty. Better bagel shops in bk. $5 for a bagel with flavored cream cheese? Come on bake city sort it out

  6. One of my favorite consistently good bagel places in and around my area.
This is also home of the flagel, which is a flatter, crispier bagel, and they have every variety of these that you would find in normal bagel form.
The bagels are always fresh, and crispy in general and whether I get one with cream cheese or ham and cheese, everything is always good
They also have pretty good coffee, Lattes and iced choices, with dairy and soy

As an FYI, there is no seating, just standing room and to go, which is the only downfall
