  1. YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM.

BAKED IS YUM.  The decor is very cute and homey, the treats were GREAT, the location is solid.  We tried the homemade Twix, which had this amazing buttery cookie layer, the white chocolate oatmeal cookie, and a whoppie pie.  Maybe the best whoppie I've had outside of New England.  I am very happy this place is not right around the corner from me bc I would be there ALL THE TIME.

  2. They serve Stumptown and they serve it well. My office gets Stumptown beans, but it's never this good. The staff at Baked know what they're doing!

They also serve pastries and other desserts, like giant cookies. Their chocolate chip cookie is on point.

The decor is also cute, with wood slab tables, and a wonderfully out of place chandelier. Love it!

  3. Lemon bars here are awesome! If you come to baked you have to try their lemon bars.

Baked is a nice little coffee shop/ bakery. It's a nice place to study and grab some great food. The staff is super friendly and helpful with deciding on what to order. They have all kinds of treats from sweets to savory. I ordered the chocolate chip banana bread, lemon bar and their peanut butter crispy. The banana bread was great , super moist and not too sweet. The lemon bar was tart and delicious , the crust of the bar was so good. My only complaint was the peanut butter crispy. The peanut butter tasted really odd and it left a bad feel in the mouth afterwards. Other than that everything else was awesome.

They make cakes here as well and I heard they do an amazing coconut cake so I will be back for that.

  4. Warm and cozy and chock full of deliciousness.  There's more to Red Hook than IKEA, peeps, and Baked should be tops on your list.

The bakery cases offer copious temptations in the form of cupcakes, brownies, cookies (brookies, too) and much much more.  I went with the donut option that proved to be an oh-so-solid choice.  So much rich and gooey goodness for a mere $2.

Baked is the kind of joint that encourages you to linger, too.  Ample roomy booths where you can spread out for a while and get some work done- though you'll probably be too distracted by the glimpse into the kitchen in the back where all the magic happens.  Not to mention real live plates and forks you're given to enjoy your treats in a leisurely fashion.

  5. This is another reason I often dream to move to Red Hook! But "luckily" i won't, otherwise I will get so much weight.. Baked is amazing. It's an obligatory stop it you are in the hood. Coffee is really good, and their baked goods are to die for. All of them. I tried many and my favorites are the rice crispy treats, the coconut macaroons, and the cookies, all kind of cookies. But I mean. Everything is delicious. You will never get wrong.

  6. Came to my original love in Red Hook today. Had to put in a special order for the Green Tea Cupcakes because they tend to not be in the regular rotation. However this is my favorite cupcake from Baked and it's certainly not for everyone. The cake itself is almond white…not too sweet and perfect combination of dense/fluffy. The icing is green tea buttercream and does taste like green tea, but a cool, dessert version hahaha! However, fear not…you will certainly find some sweet goodness here! Pistachio, Pistachio (pistachio white cake w/ vanilla honey buttercream); Lemondrop ( white lemon cake w/lemon curd filling and vanilla lemon buttercream) and Carrot Cakes are all best sellers and equally delish :-).

This location is smaller and more down to earth than TriBeCa (it's Brooklyn, so of course). However, if you're in the area, it's definitely worth a stop.  Also, don't sleep on the Deep Dark and Sweet & Salty Brownie–the TRUTH. So amazing if you're a chocolate lover, yummy.

As I am writing this review…trying not to go into a dessert coma because I can't put my fork down. Icing and chocolate is everywhere, soooo good! I mentioned in a review for the other location that Baked made my wedding cake and cupcakes, so obviously I'm sold on this amazing little bakery. Hope you'll enjoy too. Happy Eating!

  7. We picked up a brownie and a whoopie pie to go. The brownie was very fudgey and salty. It was the opposite of the typical brownie which is rich and airy.

The exterior cake of the whoopie pie was bland, but I felt the whoopie was designed to showcase the cream filling. The filling was very sweet and creamy.

  8. Absolutely love the atmosphere in this wooden, coffee shop. Tables and beches were wooden from top to bottom, having a local/casual, yet clean look. They have a wide selection of baked goods, coffees, and hot chocolates. Having saw an article's recommendation on their brownies, my friend came here specifically for their brownies. Surprisingly, when we arrived they offer little corner pieces–and for a cheaper price. Win! Crispy edges of baked goods are always the best parts.

Wanted to take a seat and enjoy our sweet treat, but literally every seat in the little shop was taken. Filled with families, babies, and couples, I guess you need to come earlier to snag a spot on Saturday mornings.
