  1. if you are craving something sweet, check out this cute cupcake shop.  They have bite sized cupcakes for sale.  I love just having one-two bites of sweets and be done, so this is perfect for just that.  All the flavors were awesome, and I had no complaints about them.  I loved the way the tie-dye looked, but the taste was nothing special.  Red velvet is always my favorite, perfectly moist with the tastiest cream cheese frosting on top.  Chocolate chip pancake, actually did taste just as it sounds, that would probably be my favorite.  I just checked their website, and they have chocolate dipped cupcakes now….My does that sound good.  I need to go back to NYC and try one of those mini cupcakes again!

  2. They are overpriced but they sure take care of that sweet tooth craving. Was also checking out the calorie intake on them & 3 little bite size cup cakes only have about 140 calories. That's not bad. So after eating at your fav restaurant but don't wanna order a huge dessert to curb your sweet tooth, head over & take the 3 mini cup cakes for $3. It's not too bad of a deal & hits the spot.

  3. Way too freaking cute.  I feel like I'm the giant in Mario bros and could grab handfuls of these mini cupcakes at a time.  Love how they are bite sized and don't make a huge mess.  Great for those who want to order multiple flavors or those who are indecisive since you can eat 6 for the size of one!  The chocolate dipped ones are my absolute favorite.  Definitely pricey, but also worth it.  They have cute gift wrapping and boxes as well which are great for a quick grab n go addition to coffee or tea with friends.  Addictive and dangerous so don't say I didn't warn you!

  4. For $1.00 each you get a spoonfool  (spoon-fool get it) of moist cupcake.  The mini-cupcakes are cute, and fun, and pretty good.  yet at the end of the day. .. they really aren't worth the price.

We tried three flavors: 1) sprinkle 2) mint chocolate chip 3) double chocolate.

my toddler at the Sprinkle. . .and I woofed down the mint and double chocolate.  They are exactly "1 bite" or less of cupcakes.

The store itself is pretty neat looking, with Ipad registers and lots of wiz/bang/hipster coolness.

Looking at the future. . I wouldn't go to melissa's unless I had some cool hipster party and I needed something cool looking to decorate it and eat. . .

  5. When I walked in and saw these teeny tiny cupcakes I was kind of bothered that they cost $1 a piece. I thought to myself "F*ck it, I'm on vacation" and bought a 3 pack. They are totally worth it. They are what I like to call "The perfect last bite". They have a bunch of yummy flavors. The cake is moist and the frosting on top is smooth and creamy and the centers are just to die for. I will make a trip there the next time I'm in the city.

  6. Cute little store front rite on Broadway. These little cupcakes are bites of heavenly goodness! Especially the strawberry macaron cupcake and the triple chocolate! I picked up a pack of 25 and chose 5 of my favorite flavors: cookies and cream, strawberry macaron, chocolate macaron, triple chocolate, and tie die. These little cupcakes are exspensive but every once and while its ok to treat yourself to a sweet treat or 25 lol

  7. I'm just not a huge fan of baked by Melissa's philosophy – tiny cupcakes that are oversugared and just mass produced.

The plus is that the store is very clean and organized.

The down side is that you can get a much better and cheaper cupcake pretty much anywhere else.

  8. I've been a huge fan of Baked by Melissa ever since it was only a teeny store front in SoHo years ago with just five flavors and you were limited on the number of cupcakes you could buy. I'm thrilled that this place has been fortunate to endure such great success. It doesn't hurt that the creator has the same name as me.

As you can see by the numerous pictures, these cupcakes are small one or two bite flavor filled magnificent cupcakes. They are a bit pricey but they are an indulgence for special occasions when you've had a really bad day or want to share with some friends.

I highly recommend buying the 25 pack of cupcakes flavors of your choosing for $20. That's not a bad deal considering how much sugar is in there. Ideal to share with a few friends or to bring to a gathering.

The place itself is still a small stand and is just for take out. I like that this is no frills. It will help maintain a
