Came here for a company dinner.
For appetizers, I tried the pizzetta with buffalo mozzarella, tomato sauce, and arugula. I was a bit underwhelmed that this was the first bite I had of the night. I also shared a croquette which was very good; the puree underneath was very good and worked well with the fried potato.
For my main course, I had the NY strip, medium rare. The steak was cooked well but I didn't really enjoy the peppers too much, they felt a bit misplaced. The roasted onions and garlic were good.
Overall, the experience was good but felt like an experience I could get a plenty of other restaurants around the area. If you're looking for strictly Italian food, this is the place to go.
Baker and Co. is incredible…easily some of the best brunch I've had to date. I can't even fathom the reasoning behind even a "good but not great," review of this restaurant.
I came here with my partner and a friend in the early afternoon on a Saturday. While we did get seated immediately, I do think it was a fluke as 15 minutes later the dining room and garden were packed. The waitress was definitely new but was super friendly, and also cautious in getting our correct orders. We ordered three different entrees and split them fairly evenly to get a good sampling of their product and we were all beyond impressed. From lump crab, to Italian smoked meats, and soft, fresh cheeses, they are serving dishes with very high quality ingredients. That in addition the excellent and unique pairings is what put Baker and Co. on my list of best evers. Most notable was the benedict with prosciutto di Parma, burrata, and hollandaise with a subtle amount of truffle. I still can't get over how they were able to marry such savory ingredients while not overwhelming the entire dish….
Conclusively, I'm so happy we stumbled upon Baker & Co. through a Yelp search because we definitely have a new favorite in the West Village (and a new favorite place to recommend).

Baker & co is a summer daydream! I went for dinner with a friend who was visiting and the food, drink, service and ambiance were all top notch.
We split the peach salad special – soooooo amazing – the peaches were clearly in season, juicy and amazing!
For my main course I had the gluten free version of the pasta with burrata and mushrooms. I LOVE burrata and this was one of the first times I had it on pasta – to die for. It was super creamy and amazing without feeling too heavy rich or greasy.
While not super cheap – the quality and quantity of food definitely made it worth it – I hate going to a nicer Italian spot and only getting a teaspoon of pasta, so I was delighted to have leftovers to take home.
Definitely sit in the garden if you can!
Rounded up from a 3.5.
Came for brunch on a Sunday (they allow reservations), at 10:30am for three.
They have a super sweet outdoor patio, that when sunny, doubles as an opportunity to get tan.
We were seated at probably the worst table I've ever sat at, it's a three person table that is next to the door to the patio, in direct sun, and is super squishy. The patio stayed empty while we enjoyed our third class table.
The brunch options are great! Also not that expensive, really nice service and hostess, and the atmosphere itself is very sweet.
I got the frittata with figs and it was great! Definitely would recommend, it comes with a salad and this potatoes brownie thing. Also you get free crunchy bread and olive oil to start.
Overall great place in the west village for brunch!
Fairly mediocre brunch, sadly.
We stopped by for brunch on a weekend, and I split an order of the crab eggs benedict and the dry aged burger with a friend. The crab didn't have very much flavor at all, and the burger lacked flavor and was generally very unmemorable. Plenty of other options in the area, although it seems that this place might be better for dinner than brunch.
Lovely setting, cute and cozy covered back garden, and attentive service. Sleepy Saturday breakfast, with tasty homemade pumpkin granola with yogurt and honey, and fresh squeezed orange juice. A nice start to the day.
The ambiance is cute/comforting, the pitch dark bathroom a little weird (perhaps the light was out?). I also loved that they sat me before my entire party arrived (YES!).
The Tuna Tartare was excellent, the risotto balls were TO DIE FOR. I ordered the Pappardelle veal ragu which was absolutely spectacular. I even regretted giving some of it to my friend. Sangria was good, but a little overly sweet. The Spritz was on the sour side. Sadly wine and beer only.
The pasta dish alone is worth the visit. I will return….
Amazing brunch as always. This time I had the homemade granola and Greek yogurt, a side of truffle fries (duh) and iced coffee. Also tried the salmon Benedict and prosciutto Benedict – both good, though the prosciutto was especially delicious. Easy to get a reservation as usual.
