  1. I stopped going there because the attitudes started sucking. I asked the wife to cut up the chicken from the lunch special one day and she yelled at me, saying, she will do it because she knows me , I used to come a lot??? It was so my daughter could eat it easier. Then I ordered a burger and fries on the phone and was told to come down for it in 20 minutes . Arrived in 25 I asked where is my meal, Anthony got mad and said he's about to put the burger in now, and I said I can't wait. He said I have no patience :/ yeah I guess I am the wrong one huh. Never going back here. The prices were decent for the area but the attitudes suck.

  2. You know, I haven't the slightest clue as to what kind of restaurant this is. They sell things like baked chicken with potatoes but then they also sell roti and oxtail. I work across the street and my co-workers frequent this place but no one can tell me what kind of place they are because menu is not very focused. Judging by the owner's accent though, I am going to assume Panamanian all the way. I just know that the employees are so damn nice and the food is yummy. I had Salmon with mashed potatoes and salad which was delicious. Btw, you've gotta really look up to find this gem because it is so low key. Balboa is a neighborhood favorite that I hope stays for a long time.

  3. I never knew this place existed until my friend showed it to me.
Considering there's no signs outside you won't really notice it.

I find myself eating here at least twice a week, since it's right across the street from Medgar Evers college. While the tables and chairs/interior decor is not something that one would consider modern ambiance the food speaks for itself, and tastes home made.

The dish that really stands out here is the baked BBQ chicken, that comes with a side. My favorite side to get it with is the ooey gooey mac and cheese which is out of this world. The BBQ sauce is so good I get extra BBQ sauce on the side.
The chicken is soft and tender and the french fries are also really good.

Come here for some really good BBQ chicken and mac n cheese!!! They also serve sorrel. I haven't tried it but its very hard to find a place that makes sorrel fresh! They also oddly have a very large selection of ginger cola, beers ranging from Stella to Guinness. They even serve peroni!!

Don't be scared that it looks empty inside!! Trust your taste buds not your eyes!
Don't be alarmed by the angry lady that doesn't say hi to anyone behind the counter.
Best part Mac N Cheese and BBQ Chicken is about 5 Dollars!
