I get my lunch from here about once a week and I've never had any issues. Their lunch special (one smaller-sized entree + an appetizer) is conveniently priced (~$11) and there's ample food. I've attempted to get normal-sized entrees for lunch and I've found that there's too much food for me to finish.
I've only ever had my food to go so I can't speak much about the dining experience but the place has an attractive ambiance; I definitely want to dine-in here someday. It's quite small so it's probably not good for large groups but it'd be perfect for an intimate dinner. The staff is always friendly when I go in to order and my food never takes long at all. I'm not too much a fan of their pad thai but their BKK BBQ is awesome, I love it. It's definitely worth a trip here.
The service here was absolutely phenomenal. That is the only reason why I gave them three stars. The hostess asked us how our food was several times but we didn't want to cause a stink, especially since I doubt they could've made it any better. The two young gentlemen catering to us were extremely friendly.
The tilapia appetizer was essentially fried left over fish that they had served on top of thin French fries. We had their spicy basil noodle but it's more like spicy soy sauce noodles with white meat. The coconut curry was more like coconut water and beef(it was a very thin broth…. Probably would've been awesome if they dropped some ramen noodles in to it).
Nice location though. Time for the owners to start looking at what other good restaurants in Manhattan/BK/Queens are doing and then reevaluate their recipes and cooking procedures.
Great ambiance, amazing service and even better food!
We ordered the veggie steamed dumplings, avocado salad with ginger dressing and green curry with veggies and tofu. Loved every bite of my food. Would recommend this place if you're in the mood for Thai!
I'm a fan of the $11 lunch menu, which includes an appetizer and entree, and it's nice to have a thai place nearby with good food. I was really disappointed with the service during our last visit, which was extremely slow, despite the fact that there were only two other tables besides our own (a four top and a single came in after us, but were served way before we were – which was all the more problematic because I ordered a salad and my husband ordered chicken fried rice). Nonetheless, it's a fun spot for a cocktail and some light bites or for a meal if you're in the area … and not in a rush.
People aren't kidding about the wonton bags!! So good!!
The other appetizers we got were the dumplings (ok) and the chicken lettuce wrap (spicy) but the guacamole it came with was really good. Good portion sizes.
We got the pad Thai which was food and their streak which was amazing. Although I would say The portions of their entrees are a bit small.
