Bareburger

“Sweet potato fries + onion rings ($9.95), and the side of fries ($2.80) were crispy (not burnt) and weren't oily, which was great.”

“My colleagues and I come here at least 3 times a week and the food is awsome, especially when Vicky is here to greet us with our orders.”

“The breading on the onion rings is really good and does not crumble or fall apart when you bite into it, which is great and the fries are just tasty.”

  1. I really enjoy Bareburger! I've been to a few locations – The food comes out quick, the establishment is always spotless, and, even though it is fast food, they will clean off the table and get you anything additional you need. This, to me, is a better version of shake shack – and it has more alternatives.

It's weird, though, because they always have cartoon network on the TV's. Not sure how that became their go-to channel, but not sure that's directed to the demographic of their customers

  2. The food was pretty fresh and service was OK. I had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwhich. The chicken was pink I could tell it was an organic cut. They where a little stingy with the blue cheese. The fries were delicious made from sweet potato & where fresh & moist. The onion rings came with no dipping sauce fried to perfection but a bit bland. The waiter was slow to come by our table and get us the check & things like that. The atmosphere was very eclectic & they had portraits of animals on the walls. Perhaps to show they treat them humanely? Lol. Overall I would come back just because they use organic ingredients & humanely killed meats. However this by no means is to imply the menu is healthy. Some of the dishes & sides are in the upper 1000s in caloric intake.

  3. Wow. I was expecting this to actually be more like a bar. You order your food up front and there are well lit places to eat. The vegan burger I got was soooo good.

The close slaw is made with vegan mayo but they don't have vegan mayo as a topping. The fries are pretty decent but they get cold quickly. The vegan carrot cake is tasty. 🙂

The real chicken sandwich was also apparently amazing.

    I'll be back.

  4. This location is always on Groupon. I ordered pickup thru Eat24 scheduled at 12, but I called at 10:55am to reschedule. Guy on the phone said they weren't open (Eat24 says they open at 10:30am) so I would have to call back in 5 minutes, but asked me what time I'd like to change to anyways and then said "no problem." (very confusing as to whether i still had to call again) When I showed up at the rescheduled time they said they never got the order in the first place and blamed Eat24.

Collard caesar is satisfying enough for what it is. They didn't bother to spread the avocado puree and the hummus in the farmstead "burger" so there was a big dollop of mush, and the wrap easily fell apart. The next point goes to Bareburgers in general – new menu is ultra confusing. "Greens" means salads but then there are "crops" which also include salads. If you go down the page there's also "sides" which also has salads. No clear difference between "wiches" and "burgers."

  5. No real good options for vegetarians. Very bland. Wouldn't recommend for vegetarians. But for the other meat lovers I went with they were very satisfied! Just wasn't for me!

  6. Once upon a summer time, I was passing by this newly opened joint. Outside was a guy in a mascot (poor guy) handing out flyers. So I decided to try out bareburger with my friend, being a Libra I HATE places like this! So many things to choose from and you can create your own burger, also there were no pictures! Such a headache for me 🙁 I ordered the burger with aged cheddar, oh, so much regret. Not only did not i not finish the burger, it was also a free meal treated by my friend! Such a wasteeee! (The asianness hits me hard) 🙁 However, the fries were good due to the sauce. +1 I guess…

PS. Pretty interior ! Love the colorful menu board, how adorable.

  7. If you're going to have a restaurant making burgers and fries, there's an expectation that both items will be to standard. This is hardly a tasting menu or a some Chinese takeaway with hundreds of options. There's really just two. And at this downtown Bareburger location, the fries aren't up to snuff.

Now perhaps I arrived too late in the evening or just towards the end of a batch of potatoes. But considering the premium prices one pays to dine at a Bareburger, that's not much an excuse. Soggy, crushed pieces of potatoes made me rue the couple hundred calories I consumed before giving up.

My burger fared better. I went with a custom creation, spicy mustard, raw onion and cheddar cheese on a potato roll. It was medium rare as requested, with plenty of pink juice oozing out of the center. I only wish I could mop up some of that melted fat with some fries. Not here.

  8. Bison, elk, boar, duck, turkey, chicken, and beef burgers. Need I say more?

I wanted to try either bison, elk, or boar since I never had them before. I asked the server which was the least gamey. She recommended bison. So, I ordered bison in a brioche bun with gouda, lettuce, tomato, special sauce, and a side of kimchi slaw for $13.50.

Oh bison burger, where have you been all my life? I would have never guessed it would taste better than a beef burger. The kimchi slaw was way too spicy for me, though it had great flavor.

I love how customizable the burgers are. There are various kinds of buns, patties, cheeses, bacon, veggies, sauces, and spreads to choose from.

    The customer service was superb!
