Might be a good spot for lunch, but pass on dinner. Though the service is exceptional, the staff being one of the friendliest I have encountered in the city, the food leaves much to be desired.
What we ordered:
Tortellini Alfredo – flavorless, alfredo tasted like a jar of unseasoned heavy cream
Tagliatelle Bolognese – meat alone was good, however with the pasta overall lacked flavor
Looks the location is new however so maybe they need to just work out a few kinks. The place itself is very large so if the food improves, would be a decent option for a large group.
Nice place with bland food.
Everything went really well here until i tried the food. I had high hopes this would be a nice spot for lunch. Convenient location, nice seating area, and the prices are even pretty reasonable (although $2.95 for a plastic bottle of seltzer water is a bit steep).
Service was pretty good… you order at the counter and they bring your food out later when it's ready (I waited less than 5 minutes). I ordered the tagliatelle bolognese and it looked good – a nice sized serving of pasta in a real bowl with real silverware even. Unfortunately it was bland. The pasta was overcooked, it needed salt, and the sauce was flavorless.
The place looks like they spent some money on it – and the rent this close to MSG can't be cheap. I only wish they put some more effort into the food.
