Bay Sushi
“It's a small restaurant but I love how everytime I go there, it's either one or two tables and it's peaceful!”
“The place was mostly empty so I imagine much of their business is pick up or delivery.”
“But for where its at, it's great if your stopping by along the way to great views by the pier, parks or if you're biking through the neighborhood.”

Bay Sushi has the best Sushi in Bay Ridge. I have ate at most, if not all the Japanese places in Bay Ridge, and Bay Sushi is simply the freshest. I eat here approx once a week, and the food is consistently good. Delivery is always quick, and everyone who works there seems very nice. It is a good neighborhood place, and I give it my strongest recommendation. If you live in Bay Ridge, and you want sushi, hands down, Bay Sushi is the best.
I haven't been to this sushi spot for years, sort of just fell off the map for me. It wasn't until recently that a friend suggested coming here for lunch that I was reminded of this place. The place was mostly empty so I imagine much of their business is pick up or delivery. My friends and I had lunch here on a Sat. afternoon, only table there…like having a restaurant all to ourselves. Anyway, ordered some rolls, udon and soba. Everything was so fresh and they don't skimp out on ingredients! I had a Philadelphia roll and a spicy salmon roll (not really spicy), both good! My friends enjoyed their rolls, udon and soba as well. The food was so fresh that I ordered from here a couple days later, I will be back for sure!
Bay Sushi is not a place one should go out of the way for, it serves as a nice place for the locals who are nearby. The sushi is not fantastic, but is edible enough. One who might come here often might consider the place to be cute, with good service, and a solid delivery service. The prices are not the cheapest but at least the prices don't reflect the quality of the sushi.
Stopped by for lunch around 1:30 PM on a saturday and restaurant was empty. We were thinking in our heads that it might not be a good sign but we still decided to eat here because there were no other restaurants close by and we were tired.
We had their agedashi tofu, chicken teriyaki lunch box, the lunch special rolls of spicy tuna roll, salmon tempura, and the eel roll with avocado. The tofu was pretty good but the sauce it came with didn't taste as good as some of the other places I have been to. The lunch box was good for the price. Included a lot of items like shumai, spring rolls california roll and white rice. The chicken was tasty and not dry. The california roll was better than average and fresh. The special rolls all came out ok and was really fresh. The salads that came with our entree was a generous portion with a proportional amount of dressing. Hate it when other places give you so little dressing that when you are halfway through the salad and no dressing is left.
This small little sushi restaurant exceeded our expectations. Service was good and food quality is good for the price you are paying.
Good for lunch since its close to a friend's place. I had take out lunch box, the salmon teriyaki. It was good salmon but I feel like it wasn't fresh which meant it's not the sushi grade kind but that's okay since it's cooked. The box came with soup or salad, two shumai, two spring rolls, rice and 6 piece of avocado and fake crab meat sushi roll. It's good and filling but I didn't like the sushi rolls breaking apart so easily. I barely touched it and the roll unraveled itself. Maybe it was because its made for a lunch box but I would at least expect most of them to hold together in one piece.
I'll try it again and maybe dinner would present better rolls. Until then I can only rate it as a 3 star kind of place. Not bad but not necessarily better than other places.
I have never eaten in the restaurant, but I get take-out a lot. The delivery is always super fast and the sushi is always fresh and delicious….the miso is the BEST I have ever eaten. Highly recommend!

Been here several times- always very quiet. Super easy to get a easy- never a wait. So strange for a place so fresh and so good. Prices are reasonable esp for some seriously fresh fish.
Love the crew that works here.
Miso soup and rock shrimp are good apps to start with. Yum yum.
Their ice cream is also good.
After dinner, go for a walk and check out the gorgeous views of Verrazano and the city.
Came for their take out lunch special. Got the 2 roll lunch special (comes with soup or salad) for my coworker and myself, and since we hit the $15 min order we got a free california roll thrown in. Took about 15 minutes for them to prepare the order fresh. Everything was very good and amazing value.
