I always die a bit inside when I get korean chicken because it's so much more expensive than KFC or Popeyes, but it's usually somewhat worth it…this was not. Got a family meal of the Sweet 'n Spicy chicken, 2 biscuits, mac and cheese, and cole slaw. I was pretty disappointed. The seasoning and sauce makes it taste exactly like the prepackaged gganpoongi you can find at HMart. And it's mostly sweet with little to no spicy. I was hoping for something similar to the BonChon or KyoChon sauce but it was nothing like that.
The biscuits here are surprisingly good…but not amazeballs. The mac and cheese was a step above Kraft fake cheese but not great…cole slaw had way too much mayo.
I'd recommend KyoChon or BonChon if you absolutely need to get your KChicken fix. If not, hit up one of the dozens of legit ass fried chicken joints in brooklyn
Wings of fire FTW. The chicken pieces here are much bigger than the BBQ Chicken on Northern Blvd 158th St. Thumbs down on the service..there's literally only one worker there who cooks and takes orders….But my heart is forever for the wings of fire.
