  1. Not the best I've had. There's a bar that leads to a fancy little restaurant it was okay untill I was told I couldn't have something off the bar menu in the dinning area. Another waiter came and fixed that problem as it was a 20 dollar meal I was having. Right near the water so that's a plus even tho it's winter lol. I did however get the sliders and was sick afterwards at 4 am which they made me throw up. For the price it's really not worth it there is way better places near by within walking distance heck even try out the other restaurant inside.

  2. Wonderful outdoor spot overlooking a marina and the Hudson River.  Perfect way to kick off summer in the city! We watched the sunset sitting on comfy sofas drinking St Tropez cocktails. Simply refreshing  blend of Rose, St Germain and other goodies topped with an orange….fabulous!
Mussels steamed in white wine broth were hot and moist. Cheese Board had a wonderful variety with fruit and sliced pretzel bread as well. A great pairing with Rose.
Shrimp Cocktail were cold, firm and delicious! Salad de Endive… Mixed greens and candied walnuts, endives, Roquefort cheese wedge with balsamic vinegrette was terrific!  Pomme Fritte crispy!
Wait staff were friendly and attentive.
A beautiful warm evening, with a gorgeous view, great company and delicious food! Beauborg is a fabulous way to spend summer!
    We just loved it!

  3. Another beautiful patio with a gorgeous view. Some items very overpriced though, like the asparagus vertes. I had to laugh. New York strip good! Patio was full of people standing around drinking. Nice park area. Wine list good. Overpriced too.

  4. There are some really rough reviews on here — but I've got to say — every dish I had at Beaubourg was on point.

Came on a Tuesday night for reservations with friends and had a lovely time. The restaurant was packed by 7:30pm, which is always a good sign.

We sat in the back room (a tad more upscale than the front area) and were doted on frequently by the waitstaff.

I ordered the grey sole in grenobloise sauce and clearly chose correctly. Lemony, buttery, caper-y, and light; it was everything sole should be. The steak frites was also wonderful, as were the sides of lentils and spinach.

I would have liked for the bread basket at the beginning to be warmed up, given the home-y fanciness of the restaurant, but the butter was creamy and salty so that made up for it.

For dessert we ordered the chocolate profiteroles. I'm not big into ice cream at restaurants (crazy, I know) so this wasn't mind blowing for me, but it was still a great end to a delicious meal.

    I'll be back!

  5. Similar prices to Hudson Eats and PJ Clarkes. I got the poached egg, bacon salad- it was around $16 and not filling at all. High quality though and I really liked the salad but I was def still hungry afterwards.

Other people at the table got the cheeseburger- it looked pretty good. regrets. next time I'd go for the burger. I had a bite of the escargot- excellent. We sat outside and it was really nice- can get packed for lunch. Service is a on the slow side just fyi.

They have hh from 3-5pm at le bar.

  6. Came here for restaurant week lunch with coworkers.  We each enjoyed the appetizers (liver mousse, salad, prosciutto/melon/feta, they enjoyed their steak w zucchini, I liked my dorade entree, but the fennel onions were a bit too strong tasting as a side for that fish.  They distracted from the fish's flavor.

For dessert they gave us mini cakes/tartes… it looked like each table was given a different variety.  None of those were something I'd eat again.  They were cold and didn't taste fresh – like they were in a freezer or in a fridge for a while.  Very disappointing as the last thing we tasted.

After a mediocre restaurant week experience, I don't think I'd even come back and order from their regular menu.  There are so many great take-out food options in Le District itself.

  7. Ratings for *Le Bar* ONLY:

It was a magical night during the summer of '15. The sun was setting in Battery Park, and there were three girls just looking for a place to relax, drink, and enjoy some fine food. We wandered into Le District for the first time, and fell in loveeee with all the French possibilities, and wandered into this place.

We sat at the beautiful bar area (Le Bar) , lit up at night in just the right way, and fancied some drinks as the sun was setting. Not sure why this place has a lower-than-expected rating, but it's one of those places that I always pass by from time to time, remembering that blissful night.

    We ordered the following:

    Drinks
       – Versailles Royal (for fans of St. Germain)
       – The Botanist
       – Charlotte De Savoie (egg white containing cocktail, very good)

    Bites
      – Moules Frites (always a good order for a pricey place, due to quantity, value, and near-impossibility of failure. The moules frites was excellent here, which served true as we tried to scoop up as much white wine broth as possible.)

-Le Grand (Fruits de Mer platter- seafood so, so fresh and tasty)

Definitely come here for a drink and a great time whenever you're in the area!

  8. Service was good, Food was lacking.

I came here on a Thursday night and decided to sit in the section towards the back that reminds me of a very cozy living room with lots and lots of dining tables and booth seating. The atmosphere inside this place made me feel like I was in someone's home and the food on the menu looked amazing.

Unfortunately, the food really left a lot to be desired. I didn't really like the mini baguettes that were served with the homemade butter – they were hard and dense, not what I expected for French Bread from a French place.

We tried the East Coast Oysters – Close Enounter, I believe they were called. After one bite of the very fishy tasting oyster, I'd have to say that going forward I will probably stay far, far away. I don't know if they just choose bad oysters or if those particular oysters are especially fishy tasting. Whatever it was, they didn't taste fresh, which is the most important thing when serving any kind of seafood.

I had a tuna nicoise which came with 3 pieces of thawed tuna on top of a mountain of salad. I think for a Tuna Nicoise and not a Nicoise with a side of Tuna, it should have been the other way around. Maybe sear the tuna and then place it on top of a little bit of complimentary salad? Something. This lacked creativity and taste. The worst combination.

I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.
