  1. This place was so good, but the delivery took way too long 🙁

Chicken and waffles were amazing, but they only had wings. I loved the waffle..It was very dense, unlike the light waffles you'll find in Denny's or something.

RASTA PASTA WAS AMAZING!! Definitely get the rasta pasta!

And they know their mac and cheese. This is the spot.

    Catfish fritters were OK.

  2. The 1 star is ONLY because the food was decent. My experience at this place was BEYOND HORRIBLE today. Despite the reviews from this location I decided to give it a try anyway because I've been to the location on Halsey and it was nowhere near as bad as this place. The customer service was extremely horrific and disrespectful.  My sister and I both ordered a catfish dinner for TAKE OUT and waited 1 hour and 35 minutes for it. Keep in mind it was not that crowded and we were told 20 minutes would be the wait time. LIES!! After waiting about 35 minutes I asked how much longer for our orders and I was told 5 more minutes AT THE MOST . another lie. an hour goes by and my sister complained and here comes the manager who made matters a lot WORSE. she said it would be at least a 45minute wait which still didnt matter because at that point we had already been waiting over an hour. NOT ACCEPTABLE! The young lady who takes the orders was great and really remained courteous despite the chaos. There were people walking out complaining. One person said this is the worse customer svc I've ever received, another person said there's obviously an operation problem. These are all complaints I heard loud and clear as I was waiting 1 HOUR AND 35 minutes for a take out order. The manager was horribly frazzled and did not handle the situation in a professional manner at all. The plastic ware I was given was DIRTY inside of the packet. The manager blamed the company that delivers there. I mean it was just horrible all around. As hungry as I was and as long as I had to wait I couldn't even enjoy my food because i was so disgusted. And to top it off i came from JERSEY for this crap. I will definitely be spreading the word for ppl NOT to spend their hard earned money here. I won't ever do it again!! Judging by the reviews written before mine looks like I was just the next victim. SMH.

  3. Seriously?? Answering the f*cking phone in the middle of my order? Talking about it takes 20 minutes for some pre made food. I have no idea why I ever liked this place smh. Talking about we don't take over the phone orders if you aren't in our system. When I asked how would one be placed in the system she mentioned by placing an order… This is my 3rd time here, why wasn't I already in the system???

  4. My friend and I heard tons aboout BSFF so when we saw a new one open up in our 'hood we were thrilled to not have to travel far for the infamous food we'd heard so much about… the thrill was short lived and is certainly gone now.

We arrived and the first thing we saw were people standing around outside and near the door waiting for take-out orders. The next thing to notice/observe is that the dining area for eating-in, is roped off, which is the reason why so many people were standing around outside, because they weren't being allowed to wait inside or at the bar area -_-

We stood near the rope for 5 minutes before being acknowledged. Mind you, standing next to us was a huge emotionless, bouncer-looking guy, who we later recognized as the manager or owner — he didn't say hello or ask if we needed help or anything, just let us stand clueless for 5 minutes.

Once seated, the waitress, who was very friendly, brought over cornbread. It was dry. No more needs to be said about that. Ugh.

We ordered 2 dishes, the fried whiting and the chicken. Both dishes were decently priced and came with 2 sides. Nice!

Our food took FOREVER to arrive. There were only 3 other small parties seated while we were there. One table arrived, ate, boxed their food, and left before we had our food — seems as though they knew some of the staff and were taking advantage of that.

When the food finally arrived the waitress was extremely apologetic. The food looked great and the portions were generous. Looks can be deceiving.

Food was luke warm. The greens were good – will give them that. The mac n cheese, yams (obviously straight from a can), fish, and chicken were all lacking flavor. Maybe it was an off day, but neither of us were feelin' it.

I'm going to give them another try and then I'm going to venture over to the original location to get the REAL goods that I keep hearing everyone talk about.

P.S. – Idk if this is still the case, but the waitresses were all wearing skin-tight black skirts and croc shoes with socks… that can't be their assigned uniform, right?!
