  1. This amazing little grocer is exactly what Bed Stuy needs. Cheap, fresh, local produce (and meat in the near future) sold by people who care about their neighboorhood's health, wallets and sense of community. I wish them all the success in the world.

  2. The best source in the neighborhood (though F&L is not always completely reliable with stock, particularly on the weekends) for fresh fruits and vegetables, farm deliveries of meat and those packaged products you find at bodegas in fancier parts of town.

I like this place and I think they do a good job for what they are – you can certainly get things cheaper at other stores but you come here b/c you believe in the mission of this store.

  3. This place truly adds something special to the neighborhood. It's a charming little grocery store that has all your organic needs. I particularly enjoy the dispensers. There's something about weighing your rice and beans that brings back my childhood. Weird, I know. I have yet to order at the juice bar and deli. I will definitely come back for more. All in all, it's worth the extra bucks because everything is fresh and organic. I'm glad a place like this exists in the area.

  4. Was hoping to get some breakfast from Mandy's next door but they were closed – I guess due to the holiday weekend. This place was a cute find. They have a small juice bar next to the entrance and fresh fruits and veggies. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and it was "meh". Not bad but not amazing. I also ordered a pressed juice which was delish.

  5. I came here for a quick coffee and maybe a snack. The store seems great in concept but lacks in overall execution. The table inside isn't meant for actual seating apparently, based on the crates of produce preventing anyone from using that space. Additionally, the service was mediocre, if I'm being ncie about it. The folks working here when I came in seemed like they wished they were elsewhere – no one really acknowledged me when I entered and I was immediately repelled by the silence of the space. I left to seek out another coffee spot, but returned minutes later, electing to not walk another 15 min for an iced coffee.

The wifi and coffee could be stronger and I'l probably never come back.
