I'm so happy I decided to trek it over to Great Neck this beautiful Saturday morning for some healthy eats from Bee Organic. Everything from the ambiance to food to service was excellente!
The shop isn't large but their menu is. They offer teas, juices, smoothies, breakfast items like french toast and omlettes, crepes, fresh baked pastries, salads, sandwiches, burgers and wraps. There really are a variety of items to choose from. The decor is perfection; Buddhas in every nook and cranny, unique light fixtures over the tables, expressive wall decals, an interesting collection of books and cute mosaic tables for outdoor seating.
I started with their "Pure Chlorophyll" juice which was exactly what I expected. Nutritious, regenerating and green. The flavor is that of what you'd expect from a kale, collard greens, celery, apple and lemon juice. But maybe some honey would have made it a bit more tolerable.
The banana french toast with raw honey I ordered was the absolute best! The flavor was spot on and the bread they used had a seeded crust which was a nice change in texture. The honey added just the perfect amount of natural sweetness. I also got a side of scrambled eggs and toast which I enjoyed.
Bee Organic is definitely a spot worth coming to, I will be back.
The other reviews are right about the service. It can get a little slow when it is busy but on the other hand, everything I have tried from here is good, from the hummus in the fridge, to the desserts and food, to their smoothies and juices. The vegan thumbprint cookie is delicious as well as the banana cupcake (has honey though)
