Excellent NYC style pizza. I noticed the cheese slices were a little on the pricey side (~$2.50 or so) but it's NYC so I guess I have to get used to that. They had a lot of other good looking speciality pizzas that I would like to try next time I'm in the hood. I liked the no frills neighborhood feel of the restaurant and its cleanliness also.
I ordered a 2-topping personal pizza, and it was tasty — but incredibly oily. I never wipe off pizza oil with napkins, but it got all over my face and through the box. I also came once right before it closed, and those slices were very plain and not even heated all the way. Can't expect much when they're trying to close though.
I don't really think the prices are as cheap as everyone else says. The slices are incredibly thin, and toppings were given sparingly to me, so I don't think I should be paying $11+ for 2 slices and a Sicilian. However, delivery is free with a $10 minimum on Grubhub, which is a great deal! It's a good neighborhood pizzeria when you're craving a slice.
Service wasn't too memorable, and there's a TV and a few seats at the location.
Wanted pizza for lunch yesterday. As we walked to our usual spot, we noticed it had closed! Needed to find a different place last minute and ended up at Bella Roma. A little far from the office, but it's a decent find.
I just wanted basic, cheese pizza. None of that fancy stuff and Bella Roma was perfect for it. Two grandma slices and a plain cheese slice came to a little over $8.
They have a good amount of seating. The guys that work there are friendly and pretty funny. They offer oregano, cheese, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder on all of their tables.
They deliver also, so we may have to order delivery next time instead of trekking all the way over there.
Do you like delicious things?
You should eat here then bc Bella Roma has quite a few of them. As someone with a gluten-allergy, eating out can be a chore, especially at pizza joints. And when you finally do find a place with gluten-free crust it tastes like cardboard that sat in an alley for several days before being washed into a storm drain. Thankfully, you find that here. Their gluten-free crust is delicious and reasonable, especially for Manhattan.
Don't miss out!
Got a few slices to go and thought the pizza was fine, not bad but not exceptional by any means. I would have preferred the sauce to be more flavorful and the crust to be less doughy. Price was cheap though.
I walked in at just the right time, because they were taking a cheese pizza out of the oven. I ordered a slice knowing that if there was any time I would get the best of what this place offered, it would be right then.
The pizza was ok. The pizza was really wet and floppy due to the amount of sauce and oil that coated the bread. It also had a bit too much cheese on it, which is hard to believe, I know.
It wasn't a bad slice of pizza, but there wasn't anything great about it to have me visit there again.
I've had better.
Surprised by how fast the (free) delivery was. The grandma pizza was really fresh tasting with a great crust. Would definitely order from here again.
Typical good NYC pizza parlor. They have enough seating for about 20 people. I had a sausage and pepper slice. No grease. No problems.
