More than your basic bodega, Ben's in an oasis in the desert. They have a sushi chef that churns out fresh sushi all day long. I had no idea that there was such a large call for sushi in Spuyten Dyvuil.
There is also a deli counter with fresh baked goods as well as a frozen food section with vegetarian and kosher items, a veggie and fruit area with organic choices.
I must admit, this store captures me by the mere name alone. How can you not want to shop at a place named after some dude which also has the words "meat-o-mat" affixed to the outside signage?
