  1. It's convenient, with good pricing, usually. The quality of the produce needs work, though – Fairway has better produce by a long shot. Very tight inside, and the cashiers can be slow. I come here when I'm too lazy to schlep to Fairway, but sometimes have to leave and go to Fairway anyway.

  2. Yes!! I love this place. The prices here for NONorganic produce are about the same as at fairway, whole foods and trader Joe's  so if I have to settle for non-organic (let's face it the organic selection at even fairway isn't the best, especially for oranges), I might as well hit up this local spot!

They take credit card, there's never a long line, and everything is clearly marked. And I really heart the name.

  3. Love this place! Great quality produce at a good price, with a very good selection considering the size of this place.  The place is stocked with essentials, as well as gourmet items from top to bottom.  It can be a little tight in there, and hard to find some items.

Note: the name changed to Beyoglu Garden Marketplace.

  4. Come on. Best name EVER, right?

I don't even know if it's a joke or what. Is someone being cheeky?

I've walked past this place on numerous occasions, always tempted to walk in but never did. I just though it'd be another mediocre bodega. After a jaunt to Carl Schurz Park, the beau needed some water to cool off. We walked in to buy some…and damn! It was more fancy pantsy than I was expecting! Small tight aisles begat shelves full of organic foods and drinks, lots of fruits and veggies, and the like. Beautiful woven baskets hung from the ceiling, and I was tempted to grab one and fill it with apples. Haaa.

    I didn't know nothing…until I finally came in here!

    Heh.

    Carry on.
