Lavender Latte…So good. And their goodies are just goody! There's nothing like a big 'ol cookies. Coming back here soon!
Amazing Matcha Cream Puffs- they're huge! Great coffee as well. Decent amount of seating and there's always a line, but the staff is very efficient.
Amazing hot chocolate and matcha jasmine latte! Their coffee is really smooth so I'd also recommend the espresso / drip coffee!
Hands down one of my favorite cafes to frequent when I'm in NYC.
First things first, if you love matcha as much as I do, this is probably as close to heaven as you can get when you're by Times Square. Three words: matcha. cream. puff. Amazing; not only is it enormous, but that cream is divine. Not too sweet, a nice kick of matcha flavor. Other highlights include the matcha panna cotta and the pistachio cake.
In terms of drinks, the matcha jasmine latte can't be f***ed with. So good, especially with almond milk.
There are tables and free Wi-Fi so it's a nice place to hang out with your friends, come on a cute little date or get your work done. All in all, highly recommend
I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this last year when I first experienced this fantastic bakery! Located right across the street from the Gershwin Theater, this bakery offers fantastic baked goods along with drinks (and a lot of green matcha themed items befitting of a Wicked theme), but not sure if that was on purpose or not. Anyways, this place is no gimmick at all, everything here is really well done. I've had their earl grey banana bread, it's an amazing twist on a classic. I've had the pannacotta as well, great and comes in a cute souvenir jar. Their matcha latte is also perfect in every way. Seriously, it's so conveniently located in Manhattan that you should really visit if you're nearby (or even if you're not).
Heard about the hype for this place and as a fan of matcha, this was a must try for me.
However, the matcha cream puffs were a bit disappointing. They were cold and the matcha flavor was not very strong. I expected them to be warm and toasty.
The matcha latte on the other hand, was very good. The matcha flavor was very aromatic and strong, but it was not overly sweet–just the way I like my matcha lattes.
Cute décor tho! Love the wooden stools and the succulents around the café.
Lines are long since the video came out but the quality is still there. The cream puff is delicious as are all the drinks and the llama decorations. If you're visiting on the weekend, try going around opening time. Or go on the weekdays to avoid the lines altogether.
It's just not the same as last time! The cream puffs don't have that crunch to it anymore which was a real bummer. The dark chocolate cream puff tasted really sweet. It seems like it was milk chocolate rather than dark chocolate. The green tea cream puff tasted alright and the cream was really sweet too. If I was to recommend a cream puff, I would say go for the Earl grey cream puff. It doesn't taste that sweet and you can taste the Earl grey flavor. The jasmine matcha latte was a big disappointment this time. All you taste is the matcha and no jasmine at all. My friend got the lavender latte and it looks and tastes like a regular latte (nothing special). When I handed the lavender latte to him, he questioned why it isn't purple color.
