  1. I've only been to Bill & Harry's for lunch and I really liked it! I work about 15 minutes away and this place is perfect. From the outside it looks like a regular Chinese take out place but when you go inside it has a solid restaurant look. It's perfect for a lunch out with your coworkers. I ordered the steamed chicken with broccoli which came with an optional side (I chose brown rice) and it was delicious! Also, the prices are pretty cheap! This will be my go-to Chinese place for lunch!

  2. Situated in a shopping plaza next to some home improvement stores, Bill and Harry's may seem as any other quick Chinese take-out, but they're not. It's actually a sit-down place (capacity 50) with tables for 4 and 5. The space is modernly decorated with a few tasteful Asian prints, wood tables and a simple wood divider with a Chinese design. Every table is set up with fried won ton strips and duck and hot mustard sauces.

The lunch menu is not exhaustive and priced reasonably. Most lunch items come with a soup of your choice, side of rice or noodles; and are standard choices for most non-Asian clientele. Other items include noodle dishes either with or without soup.

I ordered their beef noodle soup: tender beef shank morsels on top of chewy noodles in a rich, beefy broth. If you want spicy, ask for a side of chili paste.

I was sitting across a couple that ordered the "standard" dishes, like general tso's, and it didn't look too appetizing, because their sauce was so slimy. The guy brought up his fork with a piece of sauce-drenched chicken to his mouth, and the sauce was still connected to the plate!!

They do have a separate Chinese-only menu for lunch and dinner. I only have the lunch menu, which I will post in the pictures with translation.

I will have to give an update after ordering from the Chinese menu!

  3. The best dishes here are the noodle dishes.  The lunch special is like all other places – soup or egg roll with your rice and entree.  The lo mein here is good, too, and can come with rice, which is a nice touch to make it less salty.

Noodle soups here, along with the pan-fried fish – delicious.  Everything here trends towards speed, though, if you don't eat quickly and it's busy, you could be given a push to move forward. The doors don't really keep out the cold, but overall more light and space than many places.

And yes, the name totally doesn't represent the place.

  4. Great place for good authentic Chinese food but with a clean western style presentation. They have great lunch specials. Their fish dishes really shine. We got fish in a black bean sauce.  Super tender fish, and extremely flavorful. We also got the tomato and beef lunch special.  The beef was so tender. They really excel at their noodles. All their noodle soups and fry noodles are amazing. My favorite is the beef noodle soup and the braised noodle
Always ask for the large flat noodle though

  5. This is the best Chinese restaurant in New Jersey, hands down! The staff is super friendly and quick, and the food is always fresh and delicious. My favorites are the scallion pancakes and the beef chow fun. I always make sure to stop by Bill & Harry's when I'm in town and I'm never disappointed!
